When my partner and I met with Pamela Moody for the consultation because we were considering bankruptcy she seemed very nice, always in a rush however, and kind of rude when answering the phone.
Against our better judgement we retained Ms. Moody to represent us in the bankruptcy proceedings. Once she received all of the money due(except for half of the court filing fees) a total paid out: $935.00, she became very rude when we wanted advise, very very unprofessional as a Attorney. Disrespectful would not be a strong enough word to describe the way she handles stressful situations. Forbid you tell her she left creditors out of the list prepared by her office.
There was little work performed on our bankruptcy case, due to the fact of me bringing up a total of 11 creditors were left out of the paperwork that she prepared, I was asked not to return to her office, and if I had anything to give her I needed to slide it under the door. One minute later she said after she add the other creditors I would need to return to her office to sign new paperwork.
I was confused because she stated just minutes earlier not to return.....at that point my partner and I asked to just be refunded our money since work hadn't been done and the few documents that were prepared were missing alot of information.
We signed documents and weren't given copies and were not allowed enough time to fully read them and ask questions. We asked that the documents be mailed to us along with our refund she said, " That is fine, I will send all certified mail." nearly 2 weeks later we still don't have the documents we signed and of course no refund. We have filed complaints with the Missouri Bar Association as well as the BBB and hopefully some media stations will find interest in this scam of a law office. Thankfully, we recorded several of our phone calls with this attorney as well as in the office(when we went to review and sign paperwork) once we noticed she was acting unusual.
We have never been disrespected to this capacity by any professional. Please please please do your research before you make a costly mistake like we have. This has been a horrible experience and I simply want others to know what they will eventually encounter if you chose to hire this attorney.
