Yelp is hiding every single good review that I get from my customers. They are trying to sell their advertising to me, and when I decline, they start playing those dirty games with me. My competitors have all of their reviews showed on the first page. My positive reviews are blocked from view, only the bad ones are showing. The last review I saw for my business was a nasty review from some guy named Tony from Hoffman Estates. I checked my records: no clients from Hoffman Estates since 2010, the guy opened an account on April 24 just to write that one bad review. That's a no brainer - Of course is a review from my competitors. So I flagged it. Yelp responded that they cannot remove it....blah blah blah...same story every time. Someone should take them to court for damaging american small businesses.
I had a free listing on Yelp for a few years and got a solicitation from Yelp to become a paid advertiser. I have a towing company and for the most part product was delivered as promised. The problem is that I have over 3 years 6 5 star reviews that for whatever reason are hidden and not recommended by Yelp, and one single star review by a angry customer lashing out at AAA but blamed us for their bad experience stemming from being stranded for 6 hours. We got the call at the end after another towing company dropped the call and responded within ETA, all dispatch times and on scene times are recorded and can be verified but the customer insisted on leaving us the bad review. This is the only review out of 7 that Yelp has highlighted and they claim they cannot do anything about the other 6 positive reviews being kept from public view. When anyone searches our ad looking for towing we have only one negative review. If you have a business don't waste your money advertising with Yelp, their customer service is impotent and they can't or won't do anything to regulate their review system. As a consumer you have no recourse to dispute fraudulent reviews and they will consistently (6 for 6) hide any good reviews you may have achieved. Waste of money, stick with the free listing, why marquee your business highlighted with only bad reviews?
