Yankee Home Improvement Reviews

This is a lead Generation Company!! Not a remodeling company people.

Let me explain how these companies work. They Generate Leads (prospects, customers). Through old school Marketing agenda's. A. Big box stores. They promote out of Bj's stores where they hold a fake raffle in effort to get your name and number to call you repeatedly. B. They canvass door to door. Yes the people who knock on your door and start rambling a generic sales pitch. C. the most honest form, Home shows. ( At least these prospects are shopping home improvement. All the names pulled by these three sources goes to the phone room. Telemarketers. We all love telemarketers and they call and call to get an Appointment.

This is where it gets fun. They send a professional salesperson. And when I say professional I mean a person your probably wouldn't associate yourself with much less let into your home. This guy is fully trained to present a 3 hour long presentation. Now you have to understand how these company works. They have vendor contracters with off brand material companies. (window, roof, siding etc. So they pitch these incredible warranties. (which every single home improvement products come with a warranty). but they are tranined to make you believe they are the only company that offers such a magnificent piece of mind.

Then they close the deal by offering 100 % FINANCING!! no most likely the local contracter can't offer that so this is a nice feature. and alot of people break at this point because they just feel its easier to get the finacing through the company then go through the trouble of going to the bank. Plus they can delay payment and offer low rates. Well these rates change after time and most people are paying around 28% interest when it is all said and done. Should have just went to the bank.

We haven't got to the kicker yet. Yankee prices their services about 30-40% higher than the averge Joe Contractor. But wait, it gets even better. After they secure your business, they subcontract the work out to the average Joe contractor. This is correct people. Yankee has no contractors on payroll. They sub contract all the work out!!! How is that a contracting Business one might ask?

So instead of just going to the local contractor yourself you paid yankee to do it for you. You paid the Marketers (telemarketers, promoters and canvassers) the sale manager, the receptions, and the greedy owner instead of just paying for windows.

If a company has got your name and number by a raffle or knocking on your door than it is a lead generation company. Don't be fooled. The products that yankee offers are inferior. He buys in bulk and gets the material for cheap!!

Its a lead generation Company.

What you fail to understand that companies such as #yankeehomeimprovement is a Lead generation company not a contractor. Any company that has a sales person come to your house to do a high pressured 3 hour long sales pitch is not a reliable honest contractor. Let me elaborate. Yankee Has several different sources in bringing him prospects. 1. promoting in big box stores holding fake raffles to get your info so A. the phone room telemarketers can call constantly..2 Canvassing those people who knock on your door and annoy you so the phone room can call you constantly. And 3 home shows and events. This is the most honest approach of lead generation, They are promoting to consumers who are in the Market for home improvement.

Yankee has vendor/contracts with off brand materials, windows, siding, roof etc. He buys these materials in bulk at a very low rate because they are most likely sub pare materials. Buy the lead generation I have listed above, he sets sales appointments. Then the salesperson. (mind you some of these "salespeople" you would never associate with or want in your home. They do I High pressured sales pitch with all the bells and whistles. almost like a circus act. They feed you some hype about warranties which in reality every brand hold the same type of warranty but they tell you theirs is different. They save their best trick for last the one that everyone falls for FINANCING. This is the one thing these lead generated business can offer that most small contractors cannot. It seems like less of a hassle to just sing the contract with them then try to go to the bank for a loan. They promise you a specific interest rate that gets jacked up and makes you wish you went to you bank after a few months of payments.

And to top it off the project will cost you about 40% more than the local guy because, your not just paying for windows or roofs. you are paying for a whole marketing department. You paid the promoter in the store, the telemarketer on the phone, the sales rep and the sales manager. And guess what people? They Subcontracted your Job out to the local guy anyway.

That's right, this company has NO contractors on payroll. Everything is sub contracted out. So you are paying Marketers Salaries. The people who come knock on your door and telemarketers who disturb you daily. Sorry but you have been had if you go with a lead generation company.

Firstly before doing business with Yankee home improvement meet the general manager, the man reeks of bulls*. From successful business man as myself, I wouldn't put this guy in charge of the sandbox. Ger Ronan on the other hand is much better at discussing himself as a wolf in Sheeps clothing. To make this very long nightmare story short. They destroyed my home. I paid 50k for a glass conservatory. First they started the project late. Sent contractors who never constructed a sunroom. Fired the first project manager stalling my project. When I phoned the general manager he was clueless, the British speaking salesman never returned my calls. The office manager Kathy, is the most rude individual I ever came across. I would never allow my office help to act in that manner. I would pay her not to answer the phone because she lacks an ounce of customer service skill. And the owner himself ger Ronan acted as if I was a bother to him.he was annoyed by me. Fast forward a month later they hired another project manager who again had little to no knowledge on construction. Which left an addition with water pouring through the windows and doors now I have Black mold everywhere. The company wouldn't pay the electrician so I paid twice. Doors installed wrong, locks on backwards. Check my YouTube video for proof. I hired an attorney for 375 an hour and they couldn't find the time to answer their response. Not once did Ger come out to my house to make it right. Customer for life huh? I've since found several more unsatisfied customers who have similar nightmare stories. I encouraged them to seek legal advice. Looks like 2015 isn't going to be the year he is anticipating. My goal is to get them out of the bj's stores so no one has to endure the aggravation of this company. Please do your homework. They use old out of date high pressure sales tactics to push their Cheap products. If you sign a raffle I the store you will be called endlessly.
