Cristina Castillo is a CON ARTIST and all buyers and sellers should beware of this woman who is manipulative and a scam artist. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT work with this woman as your real estate agent in any way. I was an unsuspecting buyer and got burned by this very conning woman who is a complete lair, a theif and completely unprofessional. Please be very careful and don't use her services in any way. DO NOT buy or sell any property with this woman and be very careful. She will be out to steer you to make a terrible deal and to steal your money. She is a CON ARTIST and this is how she opperates. She will con you one way or another so beware and DO NOT have ANY business dealings with her at all. Warn your friends and family and look out for yourselves.
I had just reloced to Miami and was renting a short term rental in Aventura and needed to find a home to purchase for my little 4 year old daughter and myself. I was sitting with my girlfriend at the Aventura Starbucks and having a private conversation telling my friend that my lease was going to be up in two months and I needed to find a place to purchase right away. Cristina interrupted our private conversation (she had been listening in) and told me she was a real estate agent and had some great properties to show me. She ended up sitting with us and tellling me she would look up some propertie right away to show me over the weekend. I was unsuspecting at the amount of damage this woman could end up doing to my life or my little girl's. I went over the weekend to see some homes with her and I was uncertain of the properties she showed us....first of all, she was very rude and sour and completely unfriendly to my little girl. I was not feeling completely comfortable but at least I was looking for properties and I was in a tight bind to find a place quickly and move before my lease was up so I kept looking at properties with her even though I wasn't completely comfortable. Cristina was very pushy and kept steering me to purchase a property I was not so sure about. Cristina kept insisting that this particular property (which happen to be in the middle of being remodeled and was quite dumpy even with the upgrades) was the right place for me and my daughter. I kept on telling her I wasn't sure if it was the right place for me but she kept insisting on how great it was because it was being remodeled and was so close to everything. The property was not completed yet and I could barely imagine how it would look when it was finsihed. She kept telling me that the property wouldn't last on the market and that I would lose this great deal and great house for myself and my little girl. She pressured me to fill out an offer that evening after visiting the property (she had a contract already partially completed for this house in her folder) she finally convinced me to make an offer and sign the contract that evening. She told me that I had to make a sizeable deposit of at least $10,000 that evening or the seller wouldn't even consider my offer and would take another one. I didn't have a check on me and tried going to get a cashier's check at the bank but she insisted that I get cash because the cashier's check would take days to clear. I ended up giving her $4,500 in cash to put towards the offer because she convinced me that if I gave her that cash she would simply be able to present everythign to the seller in the morning. She kept demanding that I needed to make the full deposit or I would risk loosing the house. I told her $4,500 was all I was comfortable with and she agreed to take the cash and present the offer to the seller. She told me she would contact me the next day and let me know what the seller's response was on the offer.
I didn't hear from her the next day and I began to feel a bit worried so I called her at about 5:00pm and got no answer. I called her twice and left her a message but didn't get a call back that night. I waited the next day until 2:00pm to call her and again got her voicemail. I left her a third message and didn't get a call back. I began to feel like something was off and getting a bit anxious since I had given $4,500 to this woman and needed the money for my living expenses for myself and my daughter. I really am not cash rich and need to pay my bills but I was willing to put it towards a house for my family. I called Crisitina again at 2:30 pm and again no answer so I decided to drive to the property in hopes to maybe speak to the seller and ask about my offer. I drove by the house only to see workers there and asked for the seller. The workers told me the owner was an older lady but that she was not there at the moment and was in and out. I asked the workers to please give me the name and number for the owner (because at this point I was concerned and had not heard back from Cristina) to my shock and surprise the name I was given was Cristina Castillo and her phone number 305.409.9162 - I was in complete shock since that was the name and number of the real estate agent that took me to the property and pretended that the seller was a completely different person. She also took my $4,500 in cash and had not called me back after several calls to her. I called her at least 5 more times that day and no response.
This CON ARTIST of a liar took my money, tried to CON Me into purchasing the low quality property which she actually owns and she ran off with my money! I ended up facing financial troubles and was unable to move due to my $4,500 loss. I have a small daugher that I care for and must provide for financially so this woman really put us in quite a bind and I wish this on nobody. I contacted a good friend which happens to be an attorney and we are in the process of taking her to court and filing complaints against her license for what she did. This woman is a complete con artist and I urge all of you to please beware and be very careful because you are dealing with a manipulative liar who will steer you in whatever benefits her and will not be looking out for you in any way. She lied to me and took my money and she will be taken to court for what she did. Please be careful and see her information below:
