Wyndham uses deceptive sales practises for example, I was not told of high monthly cost of "points", and "maintainence" fees. When I went on one of their "vacations" it was a nightmare. When we arrived at this "establishment" we were treated in a rude manner, we were also forced to go to a "sales presentation". This crappy y dump Wyndham put us into was staffed b y some very unsavory looking charactrs, also some of the people staying there were unsettling at best. This was my first and also my last trip with Wyndham. For this I have been paying $569.17 a month? This is a Scam. I am living on retirement income and this is needlessly draining me dry, for something that I could do better for myself.. When I talked to someone at Wyndham about possibly selling my "points" or whatever the hell it is I'm paying for they just told me that I "signed a Contract".In other words now I've got your money,go f* yourself'. Okay, if you don't want to do this amicably, how about this, I intend to cancel that credit card that pays the bill each month. I'm not paying you another cent, in other words,"piss off you bloody sod".
We all know how Wyndham preys on aged retirees to peddle their worthless timeshare points - but there is an even more devious method to their madness. Wyndham is getting all of their owners to trade-in their deeded timeshares for CWA timeshare points, enabling Wyndham to fleece the same owners yet again. Under the new points regime, Wyndham can dilute owners buying power at will by charging more and more to stay at their resorts, and by renting out the same points/resorts (theirby competing with the timesahre owners). Under a points only system, Wyndham can over sell every resort like its printing its own money. As a result, owners find it harder and harder to get a reservation at a prime resort.
To add insult to injury, once Wyndham takes back your deeded timeshare, they no longer have to give you due process before repossessing your property. Without the protections of the foreclosure process, Wyndham can now just push a button and turn off your account for anything - from nonpayment of dues to complaining.
Owners need to rise up and stop this greedy company!
I am an employee of Wyndham Vacation Resorts and want to blow the whistle on what i now know is a terrible company and criminal group of people. Wyndham is the largest timeshare company in the world, but most of the timeshare's they sell are upgrades to exising owners. The company has a system of fraud and manipulation that tricks owners into buying more points. The most severe component of the fraud is how Wyndham pays for its timeshares. Most owners do not pay cash for the upgrades (or they wouldnt buy them), but instead get suckered into "deals" that enable them to finance the new points. The problem is that the owner doesnt actually realize they are paying for the expensive timeshare by going further into debt. How is that? Becuase Wyndham completes credit applications for the customer without their knowledge, forge and supply false information on those credit applications without their knowledge, check their credit without their knowledge, and then get the owner to sign for additional debt without their knowledge. We are taught to ruch through teh closing without letting the owner read teh contracts they are signing. Its really despicable. OUt of guilt i have decided to both quit and blow the whistle on the criminals. If anyone would like more information, just email me at
I am very frustrated with this Company. They are really trying to make quick bucks by luring innocent people into buying timeshares which are barely available.Manipulates on Availability.
Last Year Dec 2013 me and my wife attended a time share presentation and my wife was not too comfortable however I trusted the Sales folks and thought may be I should give it a try.
I was offered the discovery program as a trial before enrolling for the Time share which I gladly did without any much reluctance . I feel sorry for myself that I should have checked their reviews before taking this decision. The Sales rep almost mesmerized me and I totally forgot to do my due diligence which I always do.Also we were not told that Discovery program has limited locations available compared to the Conventional Timeshare program. We try to do our bookings for San Francisco much in advance and we get the same stereotype response "Not Available for your Dates" is there any other location you would want to go to.
They should not be driving my vacation plans based on their very thin availability of location( which is fake as they availabilities get sold on websites for a cheaper price and they have already extracted money out of me in advance and hence they dont care anymore). Would want all of my money back + Compensation for Cheating.
Now that I got entangled with this membership I thought let me use it up and see. I keep calling several times for booking and I call several months in advance too like about 3 months atleast. In the presentation I was told "if you book even with 1 month notice tops that should be good enough for us to get a reservation successfully".
Now when I call to reserve a suite in Pompano Florida(Wyndham Sea Gardens) for my dates in December I am told that its sold there is no availability. I should have called way in advance like 1 year ago. I did my due diligence this time and noticed from another website (Wyndham Extra holidays). Attached the availability for my enquired dates. I see availability for One Bedroom Condo & Studio both.
So I am being lied and Cheated here and this is what I had to pay to trust this Company and Sales Rep both. Looks like the foundation of this Company is based on Lies and Pretence. Beware of this Company. I want my money back for a full refund. I Wasted a lot of time on Calls and am paying a heavy price for this. I would rather go with expedia or hotel.com for my bookings than having this Account.
Would appreciate that such companies should be banned and disqualified for their unfair , unethical business practices.
This should be a lesson/eye opener for the Company so that they stop cheating innocent customers and deliver what is being promised.Focus more on Delivery vs unthethical business practices.
