I m calling on all my fellow techs and contracting pros who did work through www.workmarket.com and were not paid after you complete a job. Or the completed work order was paid 30 to 60 days after you completed the work.
Please people, make a stand against this false employment abuse. The platform needs a terms overhaul.
Be ""very"" questionable about these buyers!
READ EVERY WORKORDER DOCUMENT ""THEY"" GIVE YOU.
http://www.mycomputerworks.com/ <--WARNING.
Document upload time limit surpassed 48hrs. I was docked 100% of my payment. Over $190.00 unpaid. 4.5hrs of my time was lost and $25.00 fuel costs.
They also blocked my email before I could contact them by email.
This betrayal seemed planned.

http://www.iyogi.com/Never pays in a timely manner.
The workmarket platform does nothing to disipline or regulate its buyers. All of the cards are in the buyers hands. workmarket support is a joke dont bother wasting your time with workmarket support call the buyer directly if an issue arrives. Im sorry to dissatisfy any of the hard working talented techs nationally but Im speaking the absolute truth.
I have not used this site, but thinking about it. I always pay my vendors on time however we also have to satisfy the needs of our clients not just the techs hired to do the work.
We as contractors are not paid until the project is complete and all work has been accepted by the client.
I understand an independent tech wanting his pay soon after the project is completed, but there are so many crappy techs out there that always do a shifty job and quality sucks costing us more money cleaning it up, so they should wait until It passes the quality control and all works fine. they always promise that they will go back and fix issues but mostly don't. Once they have their money they can care less. So to say the least 15 to 30 days payment terms are reasonable
why should we take the loss for piss poor techs. if they want the high rates they ask they should share the responsibility of the project mostly because they are the ones who's labor and quality can make or brake our relationships with clients.
