Woot Inc. shipped me a inferior quality/model product than what I paid for. Originally they agreed to exchange the wrong product or refund my money. But when the product that I paid for was out of stock and they had to give me a refund, they started to give me excuses for not sending me a prepaid return label. They don have a telephone number for customer support. This is the worst company I ever dealt with.
Woot has been around since 2004. They are an online retail service and usually have a deal of the day. They got my order wrong. I emailed them immediately and they say via email I should not have accepted the order then. The order you can't see until you unwrap the package. The order your are supposed to refuse after Fedex has left the item on your doorstep. The only contact is by email and all you can do is wait. I sent several emails and when they finally contacted me it was to tell me too much time had passed for a return. I persisted and they did send me an RMA number today, And I get to pay my own shipping. If they deem the order has not been opened thats the end of it. OR they will charge 15% restocking fee. Since I have no faith in this company that is not going to happen. Please be aware they have an arrangement with Amazon.com who accepts payments for them but claims no involvement with the business side, Thanks, I feel much better now.
Lost delivery; FedEx acknowledges; gave Woot FedEx contact info; off-shore DinashKumar tells me it is my fault FedEx lost package.
I explained in detail in first message to Woot's non-existent customer service that FedEx Ground had acknowledged the package was shown as delivered but the driver admitted that he had not delivered it to us and could not explain where it was. I even gave Woot the name, telephone number, and location of the FedEx Ground Supervisor, which fake-name customer service Dinesh Kumar CLEARLY IGNORED. This is going in to a BBB complaint right now and is going to be published to show the absolute lack of courtesy and total lack of intelligence on the part of the fools that Woot hires! Next time Woot should read the bloody message first before sending an inane response!
First off they state it can take several days to respond and they get quite prickly if you attempt additional contact before that time is up.
They send a receipt and ticket number for customer service requests.
In spite of the receipt tehy claim they "lost" the first request for return.
They responded to the second request with a return authorization and a label that never appeared. I waited the requisite number of days and started looking and finally found it in the spam folder. By this time it had "expired" as they issue the labels for only 5 days - not business days mind you.
Woot now claims that this was a one time deal and they can't issue another mailing label and to take up any issues with the manufacturer.
Really? I'm supposed to believe that they *can't* issue another? More like Woot! WON'T!
