After spending over $25,000 of my own money, I moved to a new territory for this company. This occured after my old territory was split (for the 4th time). I was promised additional territory since the new area I was taking over was an extremely small territory.
After uprooting my family and emptying my bank account, I was told my new territory would not be changed. This despite the fact that the territory just north of mine is over four times as large.
Then I was given two reviews for the same review period. The second was based on one day of observation from someone who I had never worked with. Obviously I was given a poor performance review, despite the fact that I had not been given any quantifiable measureables the previous review. (I had ever received a bad review for this company before). This second review contained misinformation and untruths and when I brought this up with my superiors I was told to "not worry about it". Then, I was given, for the first time, measurable objectives.
Over the next three months I missed several days of productivity due to holidays and snow days (can't sell to customers who don't open during bad weather). I was also told to focus on a new product, which also took me away from my review objectives. I began calling my VP to express concern over where I stood. None of my calls were returned. Not one.
During what would turn out to be my final week, I injured my shoulder while pickng up a heavy sample which I was required to carry. Later that week a phone meeting was scheduled with my VP (I was originally excited that he had finally returned my call). Turns out this meeting was to dismiss me.
Due to personal-family reasons, I was unable to make the call. I texted my VP about 4 AM the morning of and told him I would call him when I got everything worked out. (This was an ongoing personal-family issue I had been dealing with for several months). I was also dealing with a significant increase in pain from the incident the week before.
Before I called my VP I decided to report my injury. I knew the phone meeting was going to be unpleasant, but thinking I would surely be given the extra time that was lost.
It was this call to HR when I was told I was dismissed due to performance. It was also at this time when this company decided to retaliate.
FYI- I never had any intention to file for Workers Comp. I just wanted to go to the doctor and protect my employment.
1) My final pay was withheld for six weeks (I never signed a document allowing this meaning they broke the law to spite me)
2) Wolf lied to my state Dept. of Labor regarding my release to prevent me from getting unemployment and have contined to do so. I can prove they are lying but my state Dept. of labor is taking the employers side.
3) I have been out of work for over three months. Their efforts have prevented me from effectivey seeking work. My personal finances are severely damaged as well as my state of mind and even my marraige. My resources have run out and I am now struggling to feed my children.
4) Wolf immediately cancelled my insurance. I cannot afford to go to a doctor and my shoulder gets worse by the day.
Please help, or let this company know how poory they treat former employes.
