“Many people, especially ignorant people, want to punish you for speaking the truth, for being correct, for being you. Never apologize for being correct, or for being years ahead of your time. If you’re right and you know it, speak your mind. Speak your mind. Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is still the truth.” ~ Ghandi

If you have joined Wilson Luna but you are not a groupie then it is most likely that you already know?

If you don't already know and are doing your research before signing up, here's some information that may help you decide?

Wilson Luna’s marketing campaign is fabricated

He claims to have created three million dollar businesses age 40. If you look online, it used to be 35!

The three million dollar companies are nowhere to be found.

Wilson Luna is a best-selling author but his books are not on any best-selling book lists. He gets rid of them by giving them away to his members once they have parted with their $thousands.

Wilson Luna has no customer service and an unethical refund policy

Wilson Luna is rapidly gaining a bad reputation within the industry for shafting other businessmen and for his grandiose marketing campaign that has no basis in reality

If you do have the courage to challenge his authority you will be shunned and disconnected from the group

QUESTIONABLE? ILLEGAL? CONCERNING? YOU BETCHYA!

Without doing our research my partner and I joined the Luna Group in the fall of 2013. This decision almost cost us our marriage. We had hoped to improve our business and connect with the global market that Wilson Luna claimed he had strong connections. Instead, we fought about joining, what turned out to be ‘a facebook network’ of his new recruits. Admittedly, I pressured my partner into joining and I had to carry the burden of paying nearly $8,000 to watch a motivational speaker prance up and down the stage repeating himself at every seminar. Shockingly, a substantial number of the lifetime members who have been with Wilson Luna for nearly 2 years still do not have a business. For a business prophet, Wilson Luna’s success rate ain't cutting it.

I was mortified to see his crew addicted to being emotionally stripped down and punished for their inadequacies. Business is tough and requires a lot of skill and juggling especially if you are going global. You need a good team and a darn good product to succeed. Dreaming about being an entrepreneur is a good start but unless you have some business acumen, your business dream will remain a dream. Wilson does not show aspiring entrepreneurs ‘how’ to do it. He shows them ‘why’ they want to do it and then confuses them and hence why he has lifetime members with no business.

The news is spreading fast in cyberspace. More and more members whisper their dissatisfaction in each other’s facebook ears. With no refund policy, and no customer service, there is no one to speak to if you are dissatisfied. This means that members reach out to one another. Mr and Mrs Luna, if you are reading this, take heed. Your lack communication will be your downfall and see an increase in lawsuits.

I had never heard of Wilson Luna before but somehow ended up on one his webinars. After attending the second one i was tempted into attending his one day free event in London. It turned out that the free event only covered the morning session and the afternoon would be a "VIP" and thats when he would share some business strategies and have a Q & A for business owners plus a coffee session to network with other already sucessful CEOs. I recently started my own business so any networking would have been a plus.

I was happy to part with £66 for that sort of arrangement although one of my credit card providers refused to put the transaction through 'twice' so i had to use another card.

During the morning session all he preached was those in the venue who wouldnt invest in themselves a mere £75 (the price had gone up from £66) to attend the afteroon session, he made them feel inadequate the entire morning.

At this point i also found out there would be a three day session at heathrow scheduled for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (17,18,19/15) and the price for that was £1200. He spent the afternoon preaching about investing in oneself for the three day event as this was going to be ground breaking and thats when he would share all the business strategies and tricks of the game.

The event ended after 6pm not a mention of business apart from answering a few questions from the audience and again promising to elaborate on the answers at the three day event if they signed up. He had some of his cult members fly in from down-under and were cheering him all the while. Some of the cult members i got to talk to didnt seem to have their own business, going by their business cards which only has their names and Wilson Luna website going by the title 'Luna family members'.

One poor woman didnt have the £1200 nor a business idea spent the afternoon calling her family asking to borrow off them and add up whatever she could gather from different cards.

I could almost predict that those atteding will be asked to join yet another program (mentorship) for a higher fee and would leave the event with nothing. And for those who didnt sign up you're given forms to subscribe to his "TV channel" which has recordings of all the events he's held in the past. The monthly price for that would be £275 and a one off admin fee of £250. What can i say, i could have done something more productive like watching a rugby match or going for a long walk.

Slaughterhouse-Five, or Wilson Luna's "Business Profit": the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

What it is:

Wilson Luna, a motivational speaker from Australia who modestly calls himself "business prophet", has been running courses in the UK from the end of 2011. He invites people who want to expand their businesses on a free 2-day course, at the end of which he offers a mentorship programme for 4,997. This figure may change now in 2013. This includes his Internet-based learning, his video course, his published books about finance, participation in the network of like-minded people and 6 days of advanced training in the UK, as well as unlimited additional training if you want to join his course in Australia. The focus, he says, would be on helping everyone expand their business and on business modelling.

I liked the freebie course in July, thought that what Wilson was offering was amazing value, and paid 4,997 upfront.

By October I realised that it was a shockingly bad investment, the worst 5K ever spent. So here are the lessons.

Why I paid:

I paid because my previous experience with training was exceptionally positive. I went on Tony Robbins' UPW (personal development) and paid upfront for his Mastery University - the best ever 10K I spent in my life. I went on Keith Cunningham's freebie intro course (business psychology) and paid for his business psychology teachings - the best 2K ever on understanding business mentality. This was in 2004-2007.

I have used the pre-payment model to my clients and students in my own business, having learnt from the best, and offering amazing value in exchange for trust.

This time it did not work.

Why it did not work:

Wilson Luna is a motivational speaker. He keeps saying he is not, but he is. The best part of what he does, by far, is the 2-day freebie course (on which he calls himself a business consultant rather than a motivational speaker). How does it compare with Tony, if Tony is 10? Around 4, 5 at times. So not bad and a useful reminder.

But when you learn from Tony Robbins whether you agree with him or not, you feel you are in the presence of greatness. On Wilson Luna's courses you keep remembering Karl Marx's immortal quote: "History repeats itself, first as a tragedy, then as a farce".

How does it compare with Keith Cunningham if Keith is 10? Oh, -1, at most. There was no business modelling or analysis involved. In fact, when I re-read my notes from Keith Cunningham's courses, there was far, far more.

Now the good, the bad and the ugly:

The good:

Great for beginners who have never done any form of personal development. Deja-vu for all others.

If you are looking to understand Facebook, how it works and how you can tap into what people want through Facebook, definitely go on the freebie course. Luna does everything through Facebook, his business lives and breathes it.

If you need to ask yourself questions in either your business and personal life, and you are not sure what these questions are, spend two days on Luna's course, you may get closer to your answers. The time I spent on the freebie course was definitely useful.

"Followers" say he has changed their way of thinking, so some people have had a lot of use from it.

The bad:

You will be constantly harassed to keep pushing Wilson Luna to your family and friends, to bring him more followers and raving fans, and to drool about him on Facebook. You can get publicly humiliated and shouted at at the end of Day 1 if you admit that you haven't done it. Your value in the Luna system is based on your yield of followers. So if you are not a multi-level marketing aficionado, it is going to annoy the hell out of you. .

He will be NLP'ing you a lot by suggesting that if you don't emotionally buy into his stuff then there is something wrong with you because you are "transactional" rather than "raving fan".

But most importantly, there is NOTHING on the advanced courses that you can't get off the freebie course. It's the rehash of the same. There will be more humiliation involved, more emotional buy-in. I don't know if he still does that exercise when you have to look people in the eye and say:"I don't care enough about you to save you" in an imitation plane crash, and get shouted at if you don't sound genuine when you go around people saying this horsesh*t, but that's the kind of "advanced" stuff that you are going to get.

The ugly

Despite Luna declaring that he is into people, he is really into their wallets. He will take money from people who just need a shoulder to cry on; he will look you in the eye and say he will help you grow your business when he knows d**n well that he won't.

If you question anything you will be stonewalled: your emails won't be answered, your unused portion of the course won't be refunded. You will be cut off the Facebook group and all your attempts to leave any feedback which is not adulation will be deleted.

Sometimes I felt that I was sitting in a room with a lot of people who were looking for God in all the wrong places, and that was pretty scary.

So that's why I chose the immortal Slaughterhouse-Five is a metaphor for my experience and the de-motivational poster above as a metaphor for what I believe Luna's thinking is.

The verdict

Strong Caution recommended. This is NOT business training.

Wilson Robert Luna

Wilson Luna(tic) is your typical meglomaniac complete with narcassic characteristics and God complex. He is a wolf in business mentor clothing. You may as well burn your money than sign up with this fraud.

A classic example of a snake oil salesman who will tell bare faced lies to get what he wants - your money. His whole life is a fantasy designed to create credibility and trust.

This lunatic is addicted to the sound of his own voice and thinks he's infallible. Morally bankrupt on every level. Do your research before you are tempted to part with your money. You will find nothing to recommend this egomaniac.

Run a mile! Lies are his strategy, fear is his game and your money is his goal.

This guy has can speak but it's a case of all style and no substance. His arrogance gives people the false impression that he knows what he is taking about - he doesn't.

Allegedly this joker started in Australia and they soon tired of him. Now he's pushing his lies in the UK to no avail. Yes most of us actually have a radar for bullshit when we hear it!! I think he may need to move continents and eventually planets.

All I saw at the event I attended was a room full of desperate broke people who were being brainwashed to part with whatever little money they had. Dispicable and very sad.

This fraud claims to be spiritual but spend anytime around him or his disciples and you realise it's a cult and the only God he believes is cold hard cash. Be super warned!

This fake in a suit has to change his name to try and escape the fact that there are a lot of unhappy ex-members who had been parted from their money with nothing to show for it. It's Wilson Robert Luna now .. Don't even think Wilson Luna was his real name .. Who does he think he's kidding. Shame on you Mr. Luna(tic).
