Williamsburg Townhomes on Forest lane in Garland, Texas is a scam. They have the same (2) units available. ( 1 ) one and (1) two bedroom unit # 113. available . It is always left empty so they can show the units and collect application fees. They do not run a check on the applications. They just deny all people and collect $40.00 from everyone. They can not produce a record of ever checking credit. They require money orders. This is thieft. They refuse to give you their name or any information on the owners. If you have also fallen victom to this scam I suggest a class action law suite. I intend to make a police report and one to the atty Generals office. I suggest everyone do the same. They can be asked to leave if they are. convicted of certain crimes. good luck. I realize its only $40.00 but do you want then to make a fortune when all of out 40.00 fees add up. We work for our money why should we let them steal ours and live large. Not going to happen.
Beware of Williamsburg Townhomes located at 1423 Forest Lane, Garland, TX 75060. They are overrun with Felons, Crime and Drugs. I went to look at an apartment because they were so cheap and they advertise on Craigslist and when I went there they showed me a unit that had roaches everywhere. The lights were off. The carpet was old, smelly, dark and moldy. The place was falling in basically. I couldn't believe how much in disrepair it was. Their were cops swarming the place also as it is in a bad neighborhood. I have never seen so many police everywhere. It looked like a police state.
They have one unit they always keep empty to show people and collect fees for running the application even though they knwo the unit isn't fit to live in. They keep the door wide open to passerby's walking by.
Even dogs and cats can enter. Rodents of all sorts.
AVOID THIS PLACE. I guess the fees they collect they use to pay the utilities on the place. Or something. I would rather sleep in the open rather than sleep in that dark, musty, moldy, roach infested rat trap. I'm serious. i believe its safer and more sanitary outside. Who knows what's in that carpet. They could have at least paid someone to clean the carpet but I guess the old man who looks to be from Iran doesn't understand that Americans don't want carpet that reeks with odor. YUCK!
