Bought our Whirlpool in March had it serviced in the summer, something minor.
This time my Washer has been out of commission for a month, they keep replacing parts over and over. Triple the amount in parts than what the washer is worth.
Now have another appt on Mon.
Appts, they keep getting cancelled or the service guy just doesn't show up.
Call to see whats going on and get told you either didn't have an appt or your appt was from 8-5, but they can't make it so how about next week ? Are these people freaken crazy?
Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me.
Whirlpool you suck!! Right along with Lowes, Sears and A&E
Bought a new Whirlpool, 40 Gallon Electric Water heater, from Lowes. Had it installed by a licensed plumber. After the tank was filled and purged, the heater was plugged in and the unit did not heat any water. Called Whirlpool CRS. and was advised that the company Policy was that thay would not take the water heater back but would send out a new heating unit.
At this time I advised the CRS that I live in New Hampshire and had a foot of snow on the ground and the tempture was well below freezing and the water heater was for and apartment that had several young people in the apartment and that I cound not wait for a heating unit to be sent. The CRS advised "That is the company Policy". I then asked to speak to a supervisor about the issue and was told that they were on another line and would call me back.
With the tempture dropping and the water pipes possibly freezing I headed back to Lowes and had to buy the same make and model so the I could install the unit myself with out the cost of the plumber again. While installing the second unit I received a call from the Whirlpool CRS supervisor who was advised of the defective water heater and he advised me of the same " Company policy we will replace the heating unit".
If this is not a rip off company than what is? Will be contacting BBB and the state A.G.s office. and will be posting this report every week.
I bought a new kitchens worth of appliances in 2007. After my Sears warranty lapsed, I responded to a mailer for more warranty protection. I called and had them add in my fridge and washing machine. They say there is a 60 day waiting period since it was now "out of warranty" and that the paperwork is mailed to you 4 -6 weeks later. Well I got busy and didn't notice that the paperwork never arrived. * months later I received a solicitation email for my fridge. I thought it was a renewal letter so when I called and was notified that I had no coverage on the fridge or washer, but had a 5 year warranty of my dryer I was shocked. Dryers never break and are inexpensive to fix. I NEVER buy warranties for my dryers. I told them this was a mistake and I was happy that I was calling to renew and didn't need repair. I can't imagine how angry I would have been with a broken fridge and not had the coverage I thought I did. Whirlpool said they for some reason couldn't find the recoding of the call even though it was only 8 months ago. So no paperwork, no call recording, just shafting me onto a high profit margin high commission warranty plan! And then the said that they couldn't waive the 60 day waiting period to sign up for a new fridge and washing machine plan. I was so outraged I called Sears and they were SO MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE! AND NICE! Just thought I might be of assistance so no one else gets shafted by whirlpool extended warranties.
