started with western express as a flatbed driver. I was promised 36 CPM instead I was paid 10 to 30 CPM. I was only doing 1 to 2 loads a week. I was driving less than 1200 miles a week.
I didn't get any tarp pay, layover pay, dead head pay,. I didn't get paid for some of my loads and I've never been late. My 1st check was 202.00, my 2nd was 138.00, 3rd check was 38.00, then they just got smaller until my last 2 checks were $0.00. I'd have to take a cash advance just so my family could eat and pay bills.
They hold out fees of which is not the drivers responsibility y but the companies. Deductions were double charged. 20.00$ every time u used the EFS card.
Western express caused a lot of debt and of family problems. They made promises and was nothing like what they said.
I averaged 8.00hr working at western express, i gave them a month advance that i was quitting. i gave them two good months to get my miles up because i was only getting 1600 to 1800 miles a week at 16 cpm not counting the 14cpm per diem. now theyr telling other companies they fired me, thats a lie. they told me 37cpm when they hired me, thats a lie. the only time this company wants a phone call from a driver is when you tell them you are quitting! then they say what can i do for you to make it better. the minute you get off the phone with them theyve already forgotten about you. they seriously do not give a dam about theyr drivers. now theyr lying to companies telling them i was fired.
I was hired to run a dedicated account and was going to be homeevery day of every weekend and receive $950.00 a week ,"gaurenteed". After spending a week in Nashville going through their orientation I was told oh we don't have anything like that. We have regional work oh and $950.00 doesn't exist either. You can make $850 if you are available for all your loads and they aren't late. Already having a week invested I gave them a try. 1st check $159.00 no late loads. Week 2 $519.00 again no late loads and averaging 2 loads a day. Week 3 $183.00. Really? WTF does this company think? Always an excuse why you didn't get paid. Needless to say I had to quit because a driver can't be away from his family all week and have less than $200 to show for it. I see they still have the same add for the same position on craigslist. Don't buy it it's b*******. Western you owe me over a thousand dollars and I want my money
