OMG I'm so furious right now! And how I so wish I had read these complaints before taking my camera to this place! So I have a brand new $200 water camera that I used once! One trip down the river was it. Apparently water got inside (go figure, it's a water camera!) and messed it up. So I searched for a camera repair shop and found Webster Camera. I took it to them. Woody looked at it and said they would call me with an estimate. After a few weeks, they called and gave me the price of $120 to fix it. I originally said no and that was ridiculous when the camera new was $200. So I debated and thought well I guess that's still better than buying a new camera and maybe he could show me how the water got inside or what I should/shouldn't do. I just called to tell them to go ahead and fix it. He looks me up in the system and tells me they "had to dispose of it". I was like "are you kidding me" and he said no and that they tried to call me. I asked on what number and he told me my cell number. I didn't receive any messages from them at all. They could have given me a warning that they were going to "dispose of it". I asked "so you actually through it in the trash" and he said yes, we aren't responsible for anything left over 30 days! REALLY? Because it was almost that long before I got the call with the estimate. Obviously this place has been in business for years because they rip off people! Please do NOT take anything you care about to this place! What a freaking rip off!!! I’m so upset.
