Back in March of 2013 we contracted with Website Heads to build a website that was to be completed in 3 weeks, completely "mobile compatible" and to our satisfaction. Instead we ended up waiting 8 months while we were handed excuses and given proofs that had not been edited and corrected after waiting months for the promised revisions. Finally after 8 months they told us they weren't going to finish our website and gave us our website incomplete, telling us we had to use the web design tool to finish all the work ourselves! They would not work with us and finish our website, so we had no choice but to spend countless hours learning the program and finishing it to the best of our ability. After being forced to wait over 7 months past the promised period of completion, this was unbelievable.
We thought that was the worst of it. We were wrong. After receiving numerous complaints from clients saying they couldn't read our website on mobile, we went to www.mobiletest.me and found out that our website was not mobile compatible on -any- mobile platform. We contacted them and asked them to at least remedy this. They told us that "mobile compatible" just means that it can be seen on a mobile device, but any website can be. It's whether or not it's formatted to fit the device that makes it 'compatible'. This was the final straw! We have contacted our credit card company and opened a dispute and we have all the emails from our communications (we realized something was wrong with this company a few months past the promised deadline and began communicating with them in writing) to prove our case.
Even though we finally ended up with a website we like, it wasn't worth what we went through to get it. Especially since we had to put in many hours finishing the work and correcting it ourselves.
