I contacted Web.com approximately one month ago to set up a Facebook page. Their fee was $189 per month. After sitting on the phone for close to an hour to discuss the old facebook page, which pictures should be used, I was told that before it was launched I would look at it and approve it. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN AND THE PREVIOUS PAGE THAT WAS CREATED, NOT BY THEM, WAS BETTER THAT THE HORRIBLE PAGE THEY PUT UP. You can not reach anyone on the weekend in the facebook division. I would not recommend these people to anyone. They are misrepresenting themselves across state lines of the USA.
I have contacted them twice, sent emails and no response. They are do not deliver what they promise. When I did speak with someone in technical assistance, which by the way is only open Monday - Friday for Facebook assistance, they agreed the page was less than promising and someone would get back to me, well that didn't happen.
Do not use these people, save your money and hire a teenager.
This company offers to send service companies local leads from online advertising. They require a sign up fee and a monthly fee for the leads, in addition they set up a Deposit account in which they require you to place money and they charge for leads from that account. They take a fee each time they send you a lead.
After the required 3 month period we had not recieved ANY leads and requested a refund. They said our three months was not completed and refused to close the account at that point. They stated a date when the trial period was up and would refund on that date if we had not had any leads.
Magically we got a bogus lead a few days later! So again the refund was denied. But it was obvious that they did not advertise and recieve leads in our area so we wanted to END this contract. They did not cancel the account and told us that they would continue to send us leads until the deposit account was used up. WE said NO.
We didn't want to wait any longer with this program especially after they created a bogus lead to keep from giving us our money back. But they did not respond and did not have a manager call us as they said they would do.
After waiting a few more weeks, we sent and email to the original sales person that convinced us to give them a try and was so helpful getting the account set up and taking our money. She passed our email to someone else to handle, and we received a response several days later. They said they never agreed to give us a refund and they had taken more money out of the deposit account and would continue to do so until it was exhausted. They would not give us any refund, under any circumstance!! They claim they had a right to keep all our money even though we had told them repeatedly to cancel the account!!
As of today, they have still not closed the account and still waiting for some lead to generate in our local area so they can take the final funds out of the deposit account!!
If they were an honest company they would give refunds as stated in thier contract to contractors who sign up and are not getting any lead in the area they service!!
I contacted web.com based on what I found on the internet for an inexpensive web site to advertise a service I was starting. After completing the site and posting it on the internet I recieved a position with a new company that would not allow me the time to pursue the service the website was promoting. I reqauested web.com to stop taking the fees for the website since I no longer needed it, during sign up web.com was specific you could cancel any time. since my first request to have them stop taking the fees ($32.95) they have continued to withdraw the money three times ($98.85). Do not do business with them now they are not answering my emails at all, very frustrated, My latest request is for them to return the funds since my first request of cancellation. I will post if I am succesful in having my money returned.
Our company made the mistake of hiring web.com to design a landing page / website and manage our Google Adwords internet advertising. Web.com has excellant sales people who know exactly how to sell their services. During our meeting we told the Pittsburgh branch manager Jason exactly what we wanted to see on the website they were building. After spending $2,400.00 we got a poorly designed website that did not generate any phone calls from customers looking to buy replacement windows.
We signed up in early Feb. 2014 and 3 weeks later in early March we were contacted by Kathryn Perez from their headquarters in Florida. She sent me a link to the new website. I was not impressed at all and made several suggestions for changes including telling her I wanted to feature a 369.00 window. She told me they never put an advertsied price on the websites. Being the customer I said that is what I wanted to see and she replied they never do that. Funny Jason never mentioned that during our meetings. Long story short we are out $2,400.00.
Web.com is an internet predator in our opinion who over promises then under delivers. Unless you are a small business who can afford to throw away thousands of dollars on a poorly designed website that will not generate any customer calls avoid Web.com. We did get over 80 website visits and received 5 telephone calls. 2 calls were for repairs, a service we do not offer. 2 calls were from the same customer wanting to buy a door and one call was from Jason, the professional liar, wanting to know why we cancelled our service.
Well Jason your website was so bad we did not get any business. You talked a good game during our meetings, over promising then handing me off to the idiots in your Florida office that have no business designing websites. I have only myself to blame for not checking the company out. There are over 500 complaints with the BBB and even more on consumer sites. We were forced to shut the service off right away since it became crystal clear Web.com is a complete waste of money and another month of advertising with a poorly designed website was not going to generate customer interest.
