Wall & Associates is a rip off. I entered a contract with them about a tax issue. Was told it would take 4-6 months. Took money and set up a monthly payment.
within 2 days found out this could take over 10 months - alot different from 4-6 months. Cancelled contract due to the amount of money I would be paying and I could not afford to pay 10+ months at 550.00/month. I was misled to think this would be taken care of in 4-6 months when that was so far from the truth. They did not count on me asking questions so early in the game.
Immediately was contacted by someone from the company -- who tried to convince me not to cancel. Comparing my tax situation to cancer. The cancer doctor could not tell me how long it would be for the cancer to be gone. But I would not be paying the doctor 550.00 a month while I was getting treatment. What a horrible example......considering my father had just been diagnosed with cancer.
This contract was cancelled within the 3 day period that I am lawfully entitled to. This company has tried to rack up charges against me so they do not have to give back my money. I am still getting invoices to pay the monthly charge when I have been told it has been cancelled and will be taken care of.
I don't normally fall for scams but these guys got me hook line and sinker! Was in need ofback tax help. One night I saw their add on TV opening an office here in Kansas City. So I called. We set up an appointment for the following Monday. When we met the man presented himself as a Tax Attorney. So we hired him.
He told us this would be resolved in 6mts for about half of what we owed.We were required to make a down payment of $2000.00. We put this on our debit card and set up a payment plan for $350.00 each month.This was-started in December of 2012. We sent all our taxes to our CPA. He didall the work.We then sent all that plus a power of attorney for Wall and Associates to send to the IRS.
Isearted calling Wall and Associates about Feb. to see how things progressed. I was told that I missed some of the paper work. I sent it again.
I would call and leave a message and no one called back. When I finally reached someone I was told some of the papers were not signed. We waited for the papers, signed them and sent them back. Over the next few month I was either told papers not signed or missing. Finally the Irs contacted us and was told nothing from Wall and associates for us. The lady at the IRS told Wall and associates was not very good.She took the information and tried to contace Wall and associates and they would not give her any information. Istopped paying them in November of 2013. We are out $6200.00. We owe the IRS $40,000.00. All because of a mistake on taxes 7yrs ago.
As I have told my daughter, This is the Real World. Beware!
