We leased a 2012 CC for 36 months. Paid it through and decided to get another car at the end, but NOT another VW.
We returned the car at the same car dealership we leased it from. The lease allowance was 36,000 miles, and we returned it with much less than that, the car was about 24,000 miles when we dropped the car off.
Months later we received a letter from VW credit saying that we owned more than $900 in fees, and they are threathing us in sending it to collection.
They are charging us for a $300 retuning fee, which is waved if you get a new VW, in other words, a ransom fee.
They are charging us for a second key, something that we never got in the 1st place, we even have a letter from the dealer stating that!
And they are also charging us for TIRES! They are saying we returned the car with less than 1/3 of the threads in the tires!
If we only drove 24,000 miles, how come the tires threads are worn? We even got a bunch of pictures showing the tires were fine.
We will fight it! Media and all! We can't be held hostages by this dishonest! company.
