I was in need of an affordable moving service to help me move stuff to my new home. I contacted Go Pro Vanlines and they are by far the best moving company here in Sacrmento. They provided me the quality service I needed and I would recommend this moving company to all.
If no stars were available that is what I would give them. The movers themselves good, but the company is very unprofessional and deceptive in their communication. It took them a month to get my belongings to me in Austin, TX from Vallejo, CA. They never once took the initiative to communicate with me, I was always calling them, and there was only one person, Mike, who was half-way understanding. If I didn't know better I would think the Keystone Cops were involved, except they are not entertaining. Fortunately I had brought my computer and monitor with me so I could still work, but had to depend on my daughter for some support due to delays in getting connected to her Wi-Fi and had to borrow keyboard, mouse and USB pedal from employer in order to make any money.
If Viper had been forthright, meaning "my word is my bond", I would have made contingency plans to be able to make the transition more easily, not to mention bringing adequate medication, and clothing to hold me over until they decided to show up.
These guys are wonderful. Amanda is very detailed, there were no surprises and she ran through different options to try and save us money. The team (4 guys) that helped us move were amazing, we had really heavy furniture and multiple flights of stairs with narrow doorways. No dings, scrapes, issues, or complaints.
Several times they asked us if we were happy with furniture placement, said they were there to help and to use them while we had them. I wish every other moving experience I'd ever had was half as good as this one, I would recommend them without reservation.
Viper moving company was by far the best experience I could have asked for!
I had no idea what to expect from a moving company since I have never used one before. However, Luke and his associates were amazing. I moved from Benicia, CA to New Jersey: They arrived on time, worked very fast, and truly amazed me with their moving skills. It is evident they have great experience with large furniture, because they moved some very large heavy pieces without any issues. My belongings were moved carefully and gently, nothing was damaged.
Viper Moving & Storage has excellent rates compared to many in the area. They charge by the move, not by time. And they were FAST! Very personable, and have a great work ethic.
I can't say enough positive things about these guys! I will recommend them to anyone!
This past weekend I moved and used Viper for the move. I have to say AMAZING. They managed to take all the stress out of a very stressful process. I was moving from a 1.5 bedroom and loft apartment to a 1 bedroom and den apartment about 500 miles away. The job was estimated to take between 3-4 days.
The two movers took less than three hours! Incredibly efficient, and honestly talented at filling the truck, these guys were great. All of my furniture was handled skillfully and with care. These guys respected my stuff, but were quick and efficient. Delivery was a spot on! Got it 3 days later.
The price was also really good when compared with other local companies. Will definitely call them again next time I move.
Super fast and friendly movers. My roommate and I called them with barely a week before out move and they were able to fit us into their schedule. Most impressively, they moved all our stuff out of a third floor with no elevator! Our stuff was all in great condition and they even double wrapped some things. The quote they gave us was fair and reasonable. Next time I move I will definitely be calling these guys.
Our initial contract was for $8100. On the day of the move I was informed that because of insurance requirements they were required to re pack our items ... Even though we already packed them. They explained that the additional funds were for packing and unpacking, and when I asked the movers to stop loading the truck, I was informed that I would still be required to pay the entire amount due to lack of a 24 hr notice. The movers tagged our home items with red stickers and the green stickers went into storage. I stood outside during the entire loading. That evening after everything was packed I was told to sign a consent form from another company. I contacted Viper Moving and Storage and no one was available. In the morning I was assured that Viper had only leased the truck and that I was still dealing with the same company. We left the following morning to be able to receive the goods (Sunday evening and Monday), the driver called on Saturday to tell us they were delivering our goods Sunday morning. My son was able to meet the driver to accept the load. What was not discussed at ANYTIME was that the driver refused to make the second delivery which is clearly stated in our contract. When I discussed this this with Viper-they were unhelpful and disrespectful. When I asked how was I supposed to get my items tagged as Red (going to the house.) they stated that the second delivery was optional (which it is not). My son rented a U-haul to transport our belongings from the storage yard to the house. When I asked Viper to help him move it from the U-haul to the house, I was informed that putting the household goods into the U-haul was considered the second stop and considered your part of the contract complete. I was never informed about the "shuttle"services" identified in the contract. We thought we were dealing with a professional moving company .. We were not informed that they hired day workers from "Craig's List" to unpack our belongings. The driver had the workers unpack all of the household goods at the storage site. It started raining. While my son paid two of your workers to help him in the U-haul your driver continued to offload and set our belongings regardless of the green and red stickers at the storage facility. There was not enough room in the unit so he started putting them outside in the rain. The storage facility manager came out and opened two more unoccupied units to stop him from leaving them outside. The driver uncrated, unwrapped " all of our belongings- he took all of his blankets which left our washer, dryer, refrigerator and most of all our TVs outside. As soon as my son returned from dropping off a load. Your driver left. He did not pay all of the workers. My son called and Viper agreed to reimburse HIM for the U-haul and the money your driver did not pay the workers. When we arrive here Sunday morning we spent the next two days just trying to get SOME of our belongings in the house. All of the remaining items are still mixed up. It is now snowing here and I have yet to go over to the storage unit. Many items are broken
