Steven Greenlee had flyers at the apartment in Atlanta that I was moving into. I called him and he sounded professional and nice. He asked me to pay him a $400 deposit on his PayPal account. That should have been a red flag. I told him that I don't do business that way. So, we agreed on a price I would pay him after the move, set a moving date, and then I asked him about packing help. The next day he had a young man come over that was helpful and professional. The young man told me that Steve had a history of changing pricing mid move and scamming women. I didn't believe him at the time...he also told me that Steve was a two time felon, cheats on his wife, he encourages his movers to go slow because they are hourly and that he was a scumbag. He said that he was looking around for another job. My move was the next day and I had surgery coming up...so I didn't think anything of it. Let me just say...I should have listened. I was an idiot not to.
First, the two moving guys showed up in a UHaul?..no company truck. After spending 3/12 hours my one bedroom condo was still not loaded into the truck...we had to leave because we had a moving window of time on the other side. I called Steve on the way to the apartment to tell him that their slowness during the move was ridiculous. I had no dining room furniture and minimal living room furniture. (I had to pay two men for 2 hours of moving to get the remainder of my belongings)
He got very angry at me and literally chewed me out. he then called his movers yelling at them and one man almost quit The owner, Steve Greenlee shows up at my apartment yelling and making trouble and was completely a jerk to everyone. He changed his terms and demanded $400 on the spot. I paid him. Then he wanted $400 for the time he was fighting with me and his men moved nothing. He yelled, "Giy me my money" !! He no longer was a professional African American gentleman...he acted like the thug his mover described. Stevens wife started yelling saying that I had called her husband "darlin' on the phone. Really, like I would ever want your ugly, fat, felon husband! I left to call the police and they left with the rest of my furniture!!
This man is a con artist. And, he is great at sweet talking and saying all the right things. Don't be fooled ladies.
