My 89-year-old father continues to receive phone calls and letter from Vehicle Services Department asking him to extend warrenty on car. He has told them no serveral times.
Today, I called the company and asked firmly but politely to have his name removed from their mailing and calling list. The representative then noted that the car's warrenty had expired and told me most repairs for a car that age would cost $3000. He then asked who would pay for these charges if the warrenty was not renewed in a hostile and acusitory manner.
I explained to him that I viewed his response and the numerous phone calls and letters to my 89-year-old father as harassment.
I also reminded him that I had requested my Dad's name be removed from the company's list. He said he had done that but again asked who would pay for the repair cost for the car. I told him that I didn't feel that information was any of his business.
He replied that it was indeed his business since he was a warrenty specialist. At this point he was shouting over the phone at me. I hung up.
I am a fully competent adult and was extremely distressed by such rude and harrassing behavior. I am appalled to think that representatives of this company have been talking with my Dad most likely in a similar manner.
I see other compaints have been posted about Vehicle Services Deptartment and hope my voice will lend weight to these complaints.
I keep receiving phone calls from this company, even after asking to be put on the do not call list. I explained to them I do not now nor did I even own the vehicle they are calling about. Now they are sending me letters
I get letters from them every month or so stating my warranty has expired. I have a 2012 mercedes glk with a mercedes benz extended warranty and it has not expired. They are scammers and you should not deal with them. I have returned the latest letter with a request to remove me from their list or risk litigation for harassment.
I can't reply to everyone on this list. I hope all of you are reporting these calls/letters to the FTC. Being on a no-call list is not going to stop them. They have called me on many false numbers, including my own home number, over the years and sent a few letters. The envelope only has a postage permit stamp for Saint Louis, Mo. Whatever you do don't call the number on the letter or ask to be removed from their list because they are not going to do it. Better yet, when you hear the recording start, hang up! Also, let your calls go to voice mail unless you know who is calling you. This is true of any number you don't recognize. It will save you a lot of frustration.
You said you got a letter, do you have a physical address for these scammers? I'm trying to collect information on these parasites to report them to the FTC.
I keep getting calls about extended warranty that is about to expire and when I told them I didn't own a vehicle and the only thing that I have right now is my phone cuz I'm moving they wanted to get me phone insurance
Who in their right mind would own a business in Plano, Texas, much less actually live there? Do they even have phone service there? Ignore these folks and their "extended warranty". It's simply a scam to get your money and then deny coverage.
I've installed an auto dialer app on my phone and use it to repeatedly call them with a *67 prefix to block my caller ID. Extensions 7052 and 7053 will route you to VM. Leave the app running to leave blank VM's until that box is full then change to a different ext. This will block any new VM's and have them wasting their time reviewing blank VM's.
It is a rip-off.... a scam.... and a PITA~! This "agent" explained what a good deal the whole program was! How I would be saving a LOT of money.... He was not very professional.... And would not answer pointed questions....
I finally told the jerk I would have to talk it over with my Husband.... HE rudely said, "No, that is not an option".... that when I hang up, the deal is off....
I said, okay the deal is off, and he got mad and yelled "Okay, WHO is going to pay for your repairs?".... I just said "Do not send me any more of your notices, I am done with you..." and hung up!
They key is when you contact them and they document it they then can call you anytime thereafter WITHOUT worrying about no call lists and such. This letter is only good for a shredder or to start a fireplace with.
That is exactly as I do. Odd how on the letters I get, there is not company name, address phone other than the 800 number I will not call. I actually have 4 vehicles and the letter does not designate which one they are referring. I need to let them know. Therefore, before even starting I simply open the trash can and drop it in. I'm sure it is much easier for me to do that than it is for them issue new ones. Sometimes I will save these for fire starters and watch them burn. The best thing to know is do not call them. This will immediately provide them with your phone number and then they will call endlessly.
Car totaled in 2013, responsible parties Commercial truck) insurance paid off. Was confirmed by dmv Total) via vin. But this company continues to send notices now Pink letter).
I received several notices from this ""company"" telling me I needed to update my coverage for a new car I purchased. I threw them away, thinking it was a scam. Even after the ""final notice"" I kept receiving notices.
After about the 6th notice I decided to call the number to see what this was all about. I let the man talk for a bit about his coverage, but once he mentioned the price (ridiculous!) I said there's no way this can be real. When I told him that I didn't want the coverage or the notices, he threw a temper tantrum and hung up on me.
This operation is definitely a scam! Hopefully I stop receiving the notices!
This company is nothing but a rip off, scam con and a total waste of my time even receiving numerous notices in the mail. I would not give them a penny for their so call services. I hope this company is taken to task for constant letters sent out to people and keep pestering them
Hang up after you hear the recording. Don't ask them to remove you from their list. (It isn't going to happen) Don't call the number on the letter if you received one. Let your voice mail answer your calls. Many of these scam calls will not leave a message. If they do, DON'T call them back or call back ANY number or name you don't recongize. Report it to the FTC. Many people will complain that the Do-NOT-CALL list doesn't work. These are criminals, they don't care about the laws. If they can get a few people to cave in it makes their day and drains your pocket book.
I constantly receive letters from this company with no return address. The letter does include phone number 877-203-4130. I do not call. The phone number that is used to call, i have blocked, but sometimes still receive. If hear phone and don't recognize numbers i do not answer anyway. Since no return address hard to return to sender.

Ignore/pitch it out
Throw the letter AWAY and run!

A total scam
This "business" has no physical address listed, nor will they divulge any information over the phone.
They obviously are operating incognito in an effort to avoid any legal ramifications to their totally
bogus claims.
