I had applied for heath insurance througha company and then cancelled. A charge from VBA NEA appared on my credit card and I had no idea who this company was.
After numerous attempts I was finally able to speak with someone and have since received a letter stating my membership would be cancelled.
I am just outraged that this charge was made without my authorization!
This company has horrible customer service. I filed a claim and 3 months later they say they're backlogged on claims and will get to it soon. 2 months after that I had to call them to find out they claim they never received it. So after filing all the paperwork again they are taking 3 more months. I have to call them every time, and they always claim they will call me back which NEVER happens.
The have one main man who answers the phone is is rude and very unhelpful. One time I called customer service after being ignored for 2 weeks by the lady who was supposed to be processing my claim, he told me she wasn't in, and I expressed my frustration with her never being there. He said, "It's not my job to be in charge of her schedule." and then hung up on me. Turns out she works from home and that causes major delays in claims being processed.
So after the claim has been processed its only for half of the benefit amount. I call again and I get told, "Oh, we didn't realize you wanted to file a claim for the whole bill." I was speechless at this point. OF COURSE I want the full benefit. Now 5 months later I'm still trying to get my medical bills paid but I can't because this company is so unorganized and unhelpful.
