I am hereby sighting the following grievances against Karen M. Scott and Raymond Scott; Sears Home Improvement Representative, violation of Rules of Conduct, Fraud, Theft, Misrepresentation and Falsifying documents: Which are all Class A, Violations By Law, it is basically stated that the employer is responsible for the actions of the employee, even when the employer is unaware of the employee’s behavior. An employer can no longer claim that they did not know about the misrepresentation, Fraud or Falsification of document because the client did not inform them, nor can they claim that they were unaware of the employee’s behavior. I contacted Ms Susanne Bell on 21 November 2013 and made the following statement:
I wanted to know how to contact your HR Department because I would like to file a Formal Complaint against Raymond Scott for Falsifying my contract with SEARS. He also brought his wife in to solicit work for her company... He said that she was a trainee but that wasn't correct. They got me to sign a contract with her design company (Utopia LLC) for $2000 and talked me into using their warehouse to sell my excess furniture on consignment. I'm out of $2000 and they stole my furniture (Valued at $6000)... I'm sure that they have run scams like this on other SEARS customers and I would like to ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else. They are not completely responsible for my current financial situation but having just returned from Afghanistan and Iraq after 4 years and getting Coned by an employee of SEARS.
Raymond Scott brought his wife Karen Scott to each of our planned Sears Home Improvement window demonstrations and he introduced her as a trainee... Thereafter, she made a pitch that she was into home interior design and she could help me with the renovations on my house. She then presented me with a contract agreement with her company Utopia Designs, LLC for $2000 (23 March 2013 ). I have since researched the LLC for this company and it does not exist.
Mrs Scott and I visited 3-4 stores in the local area the first week and discussed placing my excess furniture under consignment with a local vender that she worked with called 'The Warehouse'. She informed me that other designers committed their old furniture to 'The Warehouse' to generate additional funds. I thought this to be a lucrative way to secure the funds needed for my window installation payment. Raymond Scott was present during the furniture pick-up...
I contacted Mrs Scott on a daily bases via phone to get a status on the sell of my property and requested that she take me to 'The Warehouse' so that I could look at some of the furniture available for sale. She always came up with an excuse or didn't return my calls at all... by this time I was growing weary of her delays. She also approached me about joining a Money Marketing venture (5LINX_ ID#L538181)) with her and her daughter (Diedre Scott) who visited my house to brief the business and drop off brochures. After I refused to commit to this business venture Mrs Scott disappeared... I sent numerous emails and made just as many phone calls to ascertain the status of my property and design contract completion.
My whole purpose for submitting this grievance.... I am sure that the Scotts have ran a scam like this on other Sears customers and I would like to ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I do not hold SEARS liable but I want them to be aware of the criminal activities by one of it's employees...
