After searching for change of address forms online, I clicked on a link that led me to USA filing services. They had USPS insignia and an official looking site.
I completed a transaction and was charged 20 dollars. I had to change two addresses, and so was charged a second time. They sent me two completion forms that instructed me to give paperwork to my letter carrier. I called them to correct an error on one of the two documents. I was told corrections were coming via email.
When I did not receive it lled back and was reassured that it was indeed coming. In the meantime I had complained to a friend that it cost me quite a bit of money to change my address. She said that she'd recently done it herself and it cost less than two dollars. I went directly to the USPS website and discovered that I had filled out forms for someone else, NOT the USPS. After making the appropriate changes I called them a third time.
When I spoke with the receptionist she insisted that the company was legit, that she would forward my information on to the manager, and when I said that wasn't enough she hung up on me. I have attempted to call them again and have not gotten a pick-up. I told them I would file a complaint against them. In the meantime I am disputing the charges on my PayPal account.
