USA Benefits Reviews

I received a call posing as a reputable credit card company that I currently have. This was a recording asking me to call the company back at the 888 phone number for a $100 gift card that I won. When I called it back they did not acknowledge who they were until after we went through my personal information such as address for the gift card to be mailed to, phone number, and email address. At that point they asked me for a credit card for a $1.95 processing fee. I started asking questions about who they were and where they were located. When I questioned the initial call and how they contacted me, the representative on the phone told me that I must have dialed a number that was disconnected and was re-routed to their number. At that point I asked for a manager, the manager gave me the same answers and run around. They did not get my credit card information but was able to get my address and email before I realized what was going on. In my opinion, this is not a legitimate company. I'm embarrassed that they were able to get as far as they did, since this is exactly what I warn my own Grandmother of.

I was trying to call Fairfield resorts when I was given an offer by USA benefits. I was given a promise of a $100.00 voucher to used at a varies department stores. This was to arrive by mail in 15 days. After 28 days I call the exact same number that I called earlier and listened to the exact same pre-recorded message. When I got I real person and listened yet again to the same speel I asked where was my voucher that was promised 3 weeks ago. I was told that they are NOT the same company that I spoke with 3 weeks ago even thou they were selling the same product. I was charged $ 1.98 twice and now I have a charge of $29.95 that will be charged to me monthly. I now have to call my credit company to try to get this removed permanently. I have no Idea what I am getting for this $29.95 monthly charge. How can USA benefits deny they ever spoke with me and yet they take my money? DO NOT make any kind of deals with them.

I downloaded the USAA app for Android today, and because I incorrectly entered the wrong password the app popped up and told me that my account had been locked and to contact security at 877-632-2002 to correct the issue.

When I called the number listed I was a meeting me at connected to a representative who identified himself as Jared and said that he was with you USA benefits. I did not recognize that he had not sad USAA, instead he continued to tell me that I was eligible for a special offer. Offer was for a $100.00 visa debit card just to sign up for the free and no obligation trial magazine subscription service and that I was under no obligation to try it for 30 days and could cancel anytime and keep the visa card.

Here's the catch, he needed a credit card to charge a $1.95 postage fee for mailing the visa card and subscription package. Long story short, when I asked to be connected to the security department to fix my online login problem, he gave me the number of 1 800 555 1212. I told him that was directory assistance and he said that's because the number that I called for security was no longer working and that the 555 1212 number would help me get connected. I terminated the call and I notified USAA and gave them the pertinent information with the phone number and the website that they provided, which is www.usabenefits.biz.Obviously the scammers at USABENEFIT.BIZ are in no way affiliated with USAA and I have notified USAA security, they are following up as of this posting. That app has been downloaded over 1 million times,so I imagine the potential for taking advantage of lots of folks is very real. If you have been in touch with these people you should cancel any card that you gave them, and I f you gave out any personal information you would be wise to either hire a IDENTITY THEFT service, or at very least change all of your passwords, and be very diligent monitoring all of your accounts.

Please be aware that as you can see from the posts above and below these guys are real professionals and have hacked or otherwise compromised a number of other companies services and systems and they are no doubt quite dangerous. Good luck!

They charged my credit card for magazines that I never ordered and didn't want. I called on four different occasions, and was told each time that the account was closed, and I wouldn't be charged again, only to be charged again, until I finally got my credit card company to block them. I also was told on three occasios that I would receive a voucher for $100 in the mail, which I never did receive.

I was roped into this, because I had bought an aircard from AT&T, and was told I would get a $100 rebate. (Shame on you, AT&T for dealing with such a disreputable company.) Not long afer that I started receiving voicemails on my phone, which were half cut off, telling me to call an 800 number to get my "voucher." The message did say the name "AT&T" in it, so I called. The woman told me that in order to get my rebate, I would have to give them my credit card number, and sign up for a 15-day trial with Preferred Reader Service, but that I would receive an email, and all I had to do was cancel, and my credit card would not be charged.

I never received the email. But I did start receiving all these women's magazines in the mail, which I did not want. And I started getting charged $29.99 on credit card. Called Visa, and they gave me an 800 number to call. I also had an 888 number to call from the original phone call. And when I called one number, I was given yet another number to call. One was United Benefits Advantgage, one was USA Benefits, one was Preferred Reader Service. But I'm pretty sure they are all in the same building, because when I called after hours, I would et the same voice on the greeting. At any rate, I was told every month that the account was cancelled, and I wouldn't be charged again. But they did charge me again, for 4 months until I got VISA to block them from charging me again. What a rip off. What liars.

I would not give them my credit card #.

I got there by missdialing my insurance company #; They started by saying "you were slected for a $100 gift card with no obligations, just provide a credit card for the $3.95 S&H". I thought it was through my insurance company and trusted them. bad mistake. Once I gave them my credit card #, they said i needed to listen a recording and accept 3 monthly trial memberships and if I didn't accept I would not get my confirmation #, without which I could not cancel the membership and I would be obligated for the Monthly fee of $100 for ever! This was never a part of the upfront pitch and I asked.

That's when I realized it was a mistake, they wouldn't cancell, and use scare tactics like if you don't complete the registration, they will charge your credit card $100 monthly and you will have no way of cancelling it!

I checked with one of the companies on the recording and they said they would cancel without the confirmation #.

My conclusion is that they needed me to complete the recording and get a confirmation # to complete the sale of the 3 monthly trial memberships; and since I did not complete the memberships; my account will not be charged. I am checking with my bank tomorrow to confirm and stop payment on any of these charges.

The company offered 3 choices for a 15 day trial period.

The lure was $500 for groceries, not grocery savings, $100.00 for walmart not rebates in retail., then last 3day 2 night getaway.....

I called because I never got the packet.

They indicated they emailed me, I found nothing in my in box or spam folder.

I was not able to review the packet in their time frame.
