He ripped us off, sold us a used car, only to find out it was a piece of junk. We picked up the car and while driving down the street to fill the tank with gas, the left blinker warning came on and after filling the tank the gauge only read half full. We drove the car back to him, he fixed the blinker and told us he needed to order a floater for the gas tank on Monday. He said we could drive it home and come back on Monday.
My son (17), (this was his first car), drove the car home and told me there was a very strong gas smell, the right front passenger window would not go down and it took 3-4 times to turnover for the car to start. I called Joe, he said bring it back the next day so we did. He said he would work on it all day.
Monday comes, I call to see how things are going, he yells at me that the parts are from China, and they keep breaking, he needs to buy more parts.
I call him on Tuesday, he yells at me that he's putting his money into the car, and told me not to call him, he would call me. I never heard from him Wednesday so I called him and he yells at me saying that the parts are breaking and that we're killing him, putting pressure on him, then he made an excuse to get off the phone. I texted his son saying that i wanted to pick up the car on Thursday, and that his father was yelling at me.
On Thursday, we picked up the car, he left the keys in the mailbox, didn't even come out. Now I'm running out of time because I need to get an inspection sticker by Friday.
While my son was driving the car home, the car stalled in the middle of the highway and the check engine light came on which could've been disastrous. We barely got it to a repair shop where I paid them to take a look at the car. There were so many things wrong with the car they didn't even want to repair it. They told me to get my money back. Some of the faults with the car listed were that gas was leaking from the bottom of the tank (that explains why the car was almost empty on gas when we picked it up, he didn't want us to know). There was incorrect wiring for the engine, and plugs were disconnected. The radiator had epoxy to fix the leak. The rear sway bar links were worn out. The motor was possibly replaced at one time because the numbers on the motor looked like they were erased which indicates he may have gotten it from a junk yard. Fluid was leaking under the motor/transmission and 2 codes stored in check engine, would not pass inspection. The repair costs exceeded the price of the car. At this point I take the car off the road, I'm not going to pay for insurance for this piece of junk.
I called him, he didn't answer, I texted him, he didn't answer. This was my 17 year old son's first car and the first day we picked it up was the day my son passed his license test. My son paid $2995 plus registration fees of $300 for the car and as Joe was taking his check, he asked my son if this was his hard earned money. What a scum bag.
He wouldn't respond to the BBB letters sent to him, he refused my certified letter, he responded to the Attorney General with a bunch of crap claiming that the engine is a good engine and there's nothing wrong with the car. I rebutted that if he thinks its a safe and reliable car and the engine runs great, he can come to my house get the car out of my driveway and give my son's money back and sell it to someone else. I've retained an Attorney at this point, he needs to be put out of business.
We took him to court and "surprise" he didn't show up so he was in default and he filed a wrote back to the court that he didn't get to say his side of the story stating that one of his car radiators blew up on him and burned his right side and his phone broke and the Court didn't remind him of that date so he forgot about it. He's such a loser I could scream.
This man is the epitome of trickery, fraud, scammer, and deceit. Additionally, he talks about how he died and met both the devil and god, he's out of his mind. He needs to see a psychiatrist and he talks about the devil so much. He IS the devil.
