In Nov 2014 I shipped a valuble used auto part thru the 21144 USPS location and paid for $300. in what they call "Insurance". What they don't tell you is that if you have a claim for damage, you must file "Online" and all information must be downloaded as a specific format. They also do not tell you it will take MONTHS for the process. Filed a claim and got a reject letter. Spent hours of time taking pictures and copying documents. Sent back an appeal on paper in Jan 2015 and even paid for a confirmation receipt. Here it is Feb 2015 and still nothing. Tried to talk to "Postmaster" ( The Princess) Banks there on Feb 18, 2015 and she would not talk to me in person. Wanted to call me. When I relayed to "HER" that I wanted a in person meeting, I was told to come back "Tomorrow". Her crony workers could not remembrr her last name when asked for even tho they work for HER. What a bunch of S_IT these people are. Don't waste your money on "Insurance" at the USPS anywhere. Flush it down the toilot - at least you can enjoy watching it go around in circles before it disappears. The Princess should be fired.
I conduct a lot of online business through buying, selling and trading items from across the United States, not only have I been getting many complaints of my items smelling like an ashtray lately (we do not smoke) but also packages are coming up wide open and rummaged through, not just the ones I receive but the ones being sent out, I thought it was a nation wide issue until one of my buyers watched the tracking an noticed a box I sent her, arrive at her city then get redirected back to my city, I went to the post office to find out, that the BUYER'S post office refused to accept and/or deliver the box as it showed up at their sort facility already opened and empty, they refused to get blamed and sent back!
After speaking directly with the Buyer's post office , they stated " we watched vigilantly for Ohio packages as they are damaged and items stolen more often than not, this has become a serious problem in the last 24 months so we will not deliver stolen empty boxes and have to take the accusation on our end.
So Ohio post offices are known globally as being thieves ? Nice! Real nice! I went to make a claim an the supervisor at the 45239 location took a report then blew me off, I called several times over missing packages or missing contents and they said they are a goverment facility therefor can not be charged by police for any wrong doing.
Lim appalled that because they are a goverment agency they are above the law, it's sickening and I now use UPS, I have not had a single package stolen nor delivered to buyer smelling like an ashtray! Please help us find a way to hold USPS accountable for their stealing??
