A wheelchair was shipped Tuesday from to Paso WA to Los Angeles, CA Next Day Air Early AM Delivery for an Athlete for some photo shoots before the ESPYS and participation in the ESPYS Wednesday evening. The Wheelchair from the tracking information(see below) got to Los Angeles at 8:00 AM.

NEXT DAY AIR EARLY AM IS UPS’ highest UPS DELIVERY PRIORITY and from this point on it all goes downhill, NOT JUST NO EARLY AM DELIVERY MISSED BUT NO DELIVERY WAS MADE WEDNESDAY, The 15TH OF JULY BY 1200 Noon. An athlete does not have the chair to participate in the photo shoot or for the appearance at the ESPYS. In addition to this, the company missed the opportunity to display this wheelchair at the Photo Shoots and ESPYS was totally lost.

But it continues to go downhill, since the chair did not arrive by 1200 Noon, an intercept was down with UPS to ship the chair to Maryland for the next appearance with President Obama. Where is the wheelchair? Still in Los Angeles but now it is lost and it has not been shipped to Maryland.

As a consumer of UPS I would think that the CEO would want to know how this could happen. How does a chair make it to Los Angeles NEXT DAY AIR EARLY AM and not even get delivered? How does it just get lost, UPS scans everything, how can UPS not know where the chair is located? A wheelchair does not just disappear, someone knows the truth about want happened. I would hope that a thorough investigation be done, not just the usual response of UPS that UPS has eight days to investigate the incident and then you never get the real story about what happened.

I would appreciate an honest report of what happened with this chair and why it never got delivered for the second day in a row.

Supposedly delivered packages to me - 1 left on porch, second given to female at front door - BOTH lies-

To get to porch/front door must open gate of yard, then 'cross' two Doberman Pinschers. Obvious delivered wrong address.

Told me they would 'open an investigation' on both packages AND then notify me

After waiting 3 weeks called them, was informed investigations 'closed' and that my only option was to notify shipper.

Found out from regular driver that a 'new' driver was most likely being trained - Fxxxx would have had me my packages (computer parts) redelivered to ME and apologized. UPS didn't even say they were sorry.

Note: I did field service for over 30 years - now I know why we ALWAYS used Fxxx

I ordered a piece of heavy medical equipment (37 pounds) and was told it would be shipped via UPS ground. (Never had a problem with them before so that was OK with me.) Was told by the sender that it would arrive in 3 or 4 days, on Friday or maybe on Tuesday since Monday was a holiday. The internet told me on Thursday that it would arrive on Friday, and Friday's look at the transporter's website confirmed that it indeed would.

UPS usually delivers to my residence late in the afternoon, but when 7 PM arrived and the package had not, I called their tracking line and spoke with a woman who was pleasant and seemed interested in seeing that my shipment got to me. After an eight minute conversation with her during which time she put me on hold to talk to 'the office,' she came back on the line and said that the package would definitely be delivered to me today by 830 PM.

When 845 PM arrived, and again the package had not, I placed another call to the tracking line. I got a gentleman this time. I explained briefly what the problem was, the guarantee by the UPS female representative, the fact that the ordered equipment was important and immediately necessary for my health problem, and asked him to look into where the package was. He put me on hold to speak with 'the office.' In less than a minute he was back and told me that the driver had said there was no such address. I told him that the driver was a liar. He repeated to me the address on the package and I told him that that was indeed my address. I also told him that just today I had removed all the weeds from my mailbox so that my address in 2 1/2 inch numbers could easily be seen by anyone going by.

He put me on hold again for about 2 minutes and then returned to tell me that there was nothing they could do about getting the package to me today, but that it would be delivered Tuesday (three days from now!). I told him that if anything untoward should happen to me before Tuesday for lack of that medical equipment my heirs and assigns forever would sue the company and the people who had lied to me about when the package would be delivered, not to mention the driver that did not look for my address, decided he had had enough of lifting packages for the day, and had gone home without delivering my package as his company had promised.

On a hunch, I returned to their tracking site just to see if anything had been added to the previous printouts I had about the progress and delivery information of the package. The listing on the shipping paper stated at "840 PM that the street number is incorrect. This may delay delivery. We're attempting to update the address." (Gee, how were they attempting to do that when they never called ME to see if it was correct? Not!!!)

The next input at 924PM (well after they had hung up with me) read: "The receiver has requested that we hold this package for a future delivery date/Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day." I NEVER requested that they "HOLD" the package. I was trying to get them to DELIVER it! They never called me to 'correct the address' so they admit they will be sending out the package with the old address on it and somehow it will magically get here.

I think that the driver who, for whatever reason did not deliver my package, should be fired. The "receiver has requested that we hold..." is just a ploy to protect the driver. Such drivers should not be protected.

In truth, I think UPS is on the downhill. Think about it before you send your next package, or before you have one sent to you. Do you want uncaring people handling things of importance to you? Do you want it delivered when they say they will deliver it? Do you want people lying to you about your packages?

(((competitor's name redacted))), folks. They may not be much better, but they are better than UPS Yours.
