i worked for them.
well, i was lucky to get away from this company without paying extra fee week and i got my money too.
i won't spit more shit on them even because as i see it wasn't only me that they act this way.
i was lucky because while working for them i made some small amounts and didn't had problems to pay my fee.
but f i have to advice somebody to work with them, pay attention and be clever.
if you are clever you can earn cash around 100$ each day working not more then 1213hours, but you have to be clever.
i agree that the company has a management that is Awful and Terribile.
he right place for this Gordon is in jail and not directing a company and he doesn't know how to treat employees.
then they are some of his employee that are his fellows and follow everything he say.
but the company has potential if can get guided by someone else.
but it's true, with all these complaints, why doesn't the police dep. and the city of addison take some decision about this company.

This is by far the most unprofessional business by a taxi company out there. I'm starting to wonder if Gordon and Shapiro have someone in the police department and the village of Addison on the take. Majority of they're vehicles are way out dated and completely held together by nothing more than prayers and luck. If your considering working there keep in mind that it is against the law for them not to provide you a copy of any documentation you may sign as a condition of employment. I encourage anyone to go to the Addison Police Department and fill out a FOIA request and ask how many times that police have been summoned to the business address on file. Gordon is already hiding from the mob because he ripped them off for a lot of money. That explains the numerous amounts of cameras and the buzzer type doors. He is very shady and even has a $56,000 federal tax lien because he doesn't pay the government for his business or employees. He skirts them by changing the name the business runs under. Gordon is a punk and I believe in karma. He will die a lonely old man and I await the day he is indicted along with Shapiro and the Mexican guy he had had working for him for a very long time. Even his wife Terri hates him. That's why she was running to me every morning and I was handling what he couldn't. All these years you let them call you dad. Thanks chump!
This company will tell you that you can make 250$ a day minus lease and gas fees. The problem is you don't collect enough fares to make a profit because they don't have that many calls coming in. I have sat in a car for 10hrs and lost money at the end of the day. Their ad states you can make 700$ weekly and you get a new hybrid with a gps. When I started, I barely made 100$ before fee's on a good day, the car was old and smelled disgusting and, I had to use my own gps unit. After realizing I had been lied too and did not want to work for free I quit but I still owed 7 days worth of lease fees because of the contract they had me sign under false pretenses. In the end I signed the contract so it is my fault, but I would have never signed it if they said I would potentially lose money. Its sad that a company will prey on desperate unemployed people and immigrants so they can make money. If you need work please avoid this company it will waste your time, money and cause you embarrassment.
Cabbies beware!!! This is not a taxi service in the business to collect fares. The only money.this company makes is on a bogus contract they make you sign, lockinging you in for 7 days. they tell you you're going to make $700 a week easy, but you dont even make $100.00 a day.The only money you make is to fill the gas tank after being out for 10 to 13 hours! Then I called it a night after working non stop for three days, only to have some misserable old woman call me at 4:30 in the morning! She said she wanted to remind me I still owed the $80 lease payment by 6am since i didnt work past midnight????
They're job posts are everywhere. They have a few different numbers they use. Tjey give you a different companyy name when you call, so if you cant google them and see all the complaints. So i'm on my 4th day and worked from 6am untill midnight a couple days, then realizing i'd been scammed I called to quit. They told me I was still responsible for the 7 day lease at $80/day. If you think i will be paying you any more money, you are crazy! send me to collections! you will never see another dime!
They completely falsified thier job add. They lie about how much business they have. they lied about expected earnings, and the most money i made was from business I found on my own.
On October 29 2014 Universal Taxi #115 turned right from the left hand lane crashing into me. We exchanged information . to my surprise found he had given me false information so I called Universal Taxi and nobody wanted to talk. I called Unique auto insurance the taxi was insuered on that date but 3 days later canceled. Because I only have Liability ins my ins company wont help me. A police report was made a day after the incedent I did get a call from a guy named Mike who said he reported the accident but the ins company said he didnt .. This company has very shady reputation from the research ive done with the state of IL . They misstreat employies rip them off yet they are allowed to operate without the proper permits .. WHY ? this company has 100s of complaints yet knowone stops them ... IM on a fixed income and cant afford to fight them. I just want my Money..Ed Downers Grove Illinois
