Beginning September 13, 2014, I have had nothing but a nightmare when dealing with United Capital Lending, specifically Anna Whitworth and her assistant Rebecca Barbosa.
After getting pre-approved for a $75,000 home loan by EXCEEDING the criteria set forth (credit score, financial situation) I was given the run-around for the next three months, having to jusm through numerous hurdles only to be faced with another. It became increasingly difficult to reach anyone by phone and had to wait days for a return call, text, or email.
Despite giving TWO YEARS worth of financial information to the company, it still wasn't enough, they requested that I provide my PAYPAL statement, and a written letter from my Tax Professional.
During this time, UCL DESTROYED my credit score by running my credit score an unecessary SECOND time.
I also had to sign 2 extensions with the realtor in order to keep the house off the market.
I've also paid (and lost) $250 in earnest money and $455 for an appraisal which is now useless.
At this point, UCL has damaged my credit score so badly that I have no choice but to let the house go and wait at least 16 months until my credit rises to a level that I can re-apply. But I guarantee you it won't be with UCL.
Even my real estete agent was shocked by their actions and has begun warning people about thier practices.
