I received a letter in the mail informing me that I was delinquent in sending in payments for magazines that I supposedly had ordered from the company, Readers Club.
I was told that if I sent in a one-time payment of $599.95, they would forget about the remaining balance of $1,148.85.
But, if I did NOT send in this one-time payment, then they would be forced to report the remaining balance as a delinquent debt.
I was given a phone number, (855) 855-9262, to call and set up a payment arrangement. When I tried to call that number, I was left waiting on hold for 10 minutes or so I never did actually speak to anybody personally.
I did not order these magazines. I feel as though this was a scam to try to scare me into sending money to a company that does not actually exist.
