I was hired at ultra pure for a two week training period in which I was promised $1,500, to then go full time after the training period was complete. I made them fully aware from the date of my interview that I was getting married and would be away on my honeymoon for a total of 10 days. I had four days of training in when I took my break for my wedding and half way through my honeymoon I get a call to return my binder as soon as possible. Now mind you, the last day I was at work I reminded them when I would be coming back, which was a Sunday, so I told them first thing Monday morning I will be back at work. They proceed to tell me they need me to come back ON THE DAY I get back, that Sunday, because God forbid I take any more time away. They literally expected me to get home early on the morning when I was 5 hours away and be back for work that same day. The guy even said to me he didn't know why they hired me knowing I was going away for my honeymoon and that me being hired was probably a mistake by that they didn't realize.
So now, halfway through my honeymoon, I get a voicemail asking for the binder back asap. Now putting two and two together, from what the guy said to me the last day, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see they were firing me by asking for the training binder back when I hadn't even finished my training. I was told when I got back from my honeymoon that I was to review what I learned my first four days and continue on in training, but then this happened. They called again 8 days later to ask for the binder back again, but since I live 30 minutes away and I knew what was coming, I was not about to waste my gas driving down dangerous heavy traffic highways to deliver them this stupid binder, until I recieved a text message asking for it a month later. The text read along the lines of if I didn't return the binder by Friday I would get a bill in the mail for $60. REALLY?! Again, not an accountant but I'm pretty sure a binder with paper does not cost $60. So now, even angrier with them, I decide to take the binder back, in the process giving them a piece of my mind about firing me on my honeymoon.
So later that day I get a call from Anna the manager or whatever who wants to know why I'm so upset. I explain my whole story and she says it was a misunderstanding and they ask for the binders back when people go away on vacation and they can sign the m out again after they return. Now, KNOWING that I was going on my honeymoon, this SAME woman was the one who interviewed me and who I TOLD I was going on my honeymoon, NEVER said anything about this binder deal. In fact, NOBODY who I spoke to and told about my honeymoon said one word about turning the binder in before leaving. It was the most baffling BS I've ever heard! But the best part is, before she went on this this BS I asked her what it usually means when someone is asked to return their binder and she said straight out it means they're being let go. BINGO that's what I was looking for! POS company. They're tyrannical BS and lies are unbelievable. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY.
