I am one of the "Certified Merchants" participating in the uBid on-line auction system.
The way things are supposed to work is this: I list a product on uBid, and if it sells, I am responsible for sending it to the buyer. UBID is supposed to send me a check for the sales price and postage costs, less their service fee.
From 1 December 2014 until 10 January 2015 I sold about $600 worth of products and mailed all products to buyers within the required 48 hour timeline.
It is now 27 January 2015, and I am still waiting payment.
I have tried using uBid's internal issue reporting system to resolve the issue, but it is not effective. The system seesms to automatically change every issue from open to resolved in about 24 hours. There is no response from uBid on any of these issues. UBID's trouble ticketing system simply says "Issue Resolved".
Phone calls are useless. The number appears to be disconnected.
Direct e-mails are unanswered as well.
Not sure what buyer experiences are now with uBid, but as a seller, I'm very angry and frustrated with these faceless customer service agents.
I've cancelled all open auctions and I'm in the process of removing my listings from uBid.
I advise EVERYONE to stay away from uBid. E-Bay is much more vendor-friendly.
