I opend an account for TxTag toll a few months ago, Everything was fine untill I stared seeing charges on my bank staement for replenishments to other peoples accounts. I notified them by web site, They wrote back with no anser, wrote back again with now answer, called and stayed on line for 90 minutes and they still did not get it. The bank even gave me a tracking number for the $40 in funds. She acknowledged but could not find the funds, asked that I need to report my Debit card as compromissed? No answer four weks later and they have $81.37 of my money now. I dont use toll roads anymore and Xerox is the one now in control of TXtag. That figures...... TxTag has a breach in the credit cards being accessed by others now.
I personally tried to keep up with txtag and pay any and all tolls by mail until I lost track. My txtag acct. stated I was +40 cents for years. I paid over 700$ in 2013 alone. Using the tolls maybe 5 times a month max, and not at all for the past 6 months. I just got a collections letter telling me I owed $1,790 in tolls and $46,000 in admin fees. If that's not enough to make me want to move from Texas than suicide might be the other option. Constitutional Adm. #8 prohibits erroneous fines. Seriously, the billing system is so flawed and the state is allowing this to happen! What is going on?
TXTAG is a rip off! I have paid toll's from August and September of 2013 twice. They admit the fee's did not clear due to their computer system. However TXTAG will not do anything to help resolve this issue. They use a law firm in Houston by the name of PerdueBrandonFielderCollins&Mott, LLP to collect for them. This law firm charges you $25.00 per violation. Example: Toll fee $1.25 + $25.00 admin fee = $26.25! This firm will not answer the telephone. Ever. They will answer your email and tell you to just pay them the violation and the admin fee. I think TXTAG is a rip off and they use this firm to get more money for more toll roads that they know the people of Texas are against. I will never use a Texas toll road again. Ever.
