Turf Direct did a very poor job on my green, with customer service, documentation, broke items at my house and severely overcharged for the service. While I cannot speak to the quality of a new green, I did engage Turf Direct to perform their Greens Keeper service, which was to be comprehensive repair and maintenance of an existing green.
The owner was bothered to come look at the green prior, and instead chose to bid the job via images from Google Earth. He assured me it was standard practice and he was certain he was correct in the service needed and price. The workers did little to nothing when they arrived and when the owner was asked why they were not performing the steps, he arrogantly defended the process, again, without coming to look at the job or supervising the crew.
The final work was little more than 90-minutes of spreading some sand around and watering down the green. The owner said the service would take close to 5-hours and they were in and out in just over 90-minutes. The owner would not admit he had misjudged the job or that they did not perform the entire service properly.
The green was not repaired well, and in the process they also broke two hoses. Overall, it was an awful experience. In all the years I have had work performed on my home, this is by far the worst experience on all fronts- value, service and end results.
