Same thing happened to me. I did not let them in. Kinda shady. They hand you a flag and then try to come inside. When I asked them for a business card. They stated they just ran out. Guys name on his homemade badge was Aaron Finnegan.
I had the exact same experience which my demonstration of there vacuum cleaner lasted almost three hours. The vacuum they demonstrated was very good. The machine didn't throw out dust from it's exhaust and it was much better than a Dyson vacuum.
At the end of the demonstration,it is then they hit you with the price which was over $2600 dollars,and I thought Dyson was expensive. This company is typical of american companies,Greed and over pricing go hand in hand. This is why this company doesn't spend money in TV commercials or advertising. We were also told that the warranty on this vacuum was a lifetime warranty. Which I found out later by calling the company was false. The warranty was for five years. So if you have an extra $2600 dollars go and buy this vacuum.
I got a knock at my door and a tall man in blue scrubs with an ID tag was standing on my porch ( despite my No Solicitors sign under my house number). The man was holding a wrapped, cheap American flag, and made small talk about having a store in Palm Bay, and was opening a new store in Kissimmee. At first I thought he was talking about a flag store. He handed it to me and then walked to his silver mini van which was running, and had the rear hatch open ( with no identification on it) and returned with a box, and another man. After more small talk he said he was selling air purifiers and wanted to come in for a few minutes to demonstrate. I do not let strangers in my home ( which is why I put up a no solicitors sign) and told the man I was not interested. Palm Bay is not that close to Kissimmee, and I thought it was odd they drove all the way here for door-to-door sales. It was even more odd that he was wearing scrubs, and that he said his name was John, but the name on the card was Eric Johnson. I will be passing along his business card to my neighbor who works for the sheriff's department. I hope they realize my neighbors have video security cameras. Don't let these guys in your house.
