I purchased the deal online. It was for 4 nights in 2 hotels in Florida over a 4 day period. Upon arrival they tried to make me sign up to listen to a three hour presentation, I assume for timeshare. I refused; it did not say anything in the information about it. In addition, I was supposed to receive a $50 refund for a reservation fee. They did return that.
The problem arose with the promise of a $100 VISA card for dining out that I was to receive AFTER the visit at the hotel. That has turned out to be a total SCAM!!! It did say it would come in $25 increments. However, what it involved was me sending in a form FOUR separate times after waiting 15 days between each request. A MONEY ORDER for $2.95 that cost me an additional $1.25 and of course postage $.49 totaling $4.69. Multiply that times 4 (I would have to do this four times to get the promised $100 "VISA" card) and that equals my COST of $18.76 to get my 'FREE" 'VISA" dining card of $100.
Here is the FINAL RIPPOFF. I sent the first request in. Here is what I received. NOT a $25 VISA card. It is a $25 RESTAURANT.COM card. That means that to USE my $25 restaurant.com card, it will cost ME ANOTHER $25!!!!! With restaurant.com there is a minimum amount you must spend with a $25 card and in this case it is $50.
As you can see, this is a colossal rippoff. Obviously, I will NOT send for the other 3 cards. I will end up spending $118.76 to get this $100 'card' that I can only use at a limited number of restaurants in the area. Anyone want to apply for my remaining $75 worth of cards? Oh, never mind, this deal is probably not transferrable!
