My name is Violeta Astilean and I would like to express my concern the way in which Steve Manko-owner, Carlo Di Carloantonio - director and all the staff from the Boca House Sober Living, located at :321 West Camino Real, Boca Raton,Fl,33432, operated their business. Specifically evicting people ( sick people like my son ) who relapse while keeping the persons deposit and kicking them out in the middle of the night with no where to go.
In FARR website , residences move in cost for Boca House is $850 and $800 monthly. They charged me $1.400 moving cost which was covered first 2 weeks, last week plus deposit. After 2 weeks Boca House staff called me and asked me for the third week money. I paid them $500 which supposed to cover third week and fourth week. So, I paid for the 4 weeks $1.900.
At the end of third week my son relapsed ( drinking ) they kick him out at 1 a clock in the morning and to accept him back they asked me for $565 for one week and penalty. The forth week which was paid they said I lost the money because my son relapsed. Now, all together for 4 weeks I paid them $2.465. From February 5th when my son was admitted to the Boca House till April 11 when he was throw out they charged $3.285.
When they throw my son out, they keep all his personal staff and Carlo DiCarloantonio the director, he was telling me , he will not give me anything back if my son owed them money. We did not owed them anything. Everything was paid!!!!
And now is coming the worst part : They charged my friend credit card ( a friend who helped me once and paying with his credit card , for one week for my son, and he specifically told them they will charge his credit card one time only) without his signature and his permission .
When I called them and I asked why they did this, this is a fraud, they did not have my approval or my friend approval , a lady Marlyn, told me I should be upset with my son , not with her. She can't do anything , they will not put the money back on my friend credit card , because my son owed them money . We did not owed them anything !!! They describe their services: supervised 24hours, professional advice, therapist, etc, etc, and they did NOTHING !!!
They helped people to fail to kick them out and keep all the security, deposit ,.... My son he was using drugs more than a month, before they kick him out.He purchased drugs at Boca House. Basically they conduct a scummy business!!!! Taking advantage of sick kids and desperate parents. I asked them to send me all the invoices , they did not send me anything. When I call them , they put me thru voice messages and nobody calls me back.
I am so angry and disappointed . I would like to let everybody know to NOT send their loved one to this place.All they want from you it's money and they don't care about something else. They want you to fail to keep your money !! The Government should close their business. I will write everywhere till somebody will check on this people !!
