My experience with Traverse City Web Design was not a good one. I spent over a year of my life trying to un-do the mess wrought on my web project by their use of an outdated and proprietary framework known as Pagelines. Ray is a nice guy but he left me stranded with a sub-par website, unable to make significant design changes in order to get the project to spec, due to the limited nature of the theme which made it easier on his limited development skills in the short-term. He left me with a huge mess of a website that no other skilled word press developer could fix. Pagelines is NOT wordpress, it's a buggy framework that doesn't afford you the same flexibility in design as pure wordpress/css, and requires a subscription license in order to get any support for it. Ultimately I will end up having to re-build completely from scratch this year, since what I can do with this theme is being severely hampered by the framework. I thought I was getting a wordpress site with all that implies, but what I got was a one-off broken catastrophe mired in bad code, and my hands tied by the locked box of pagelines. Too much time and money wasted, with the results not being what I expected, and not up to professional standards. Ray was not responsive to my feedback and requests for assistance, and opted not to address the issues, both with his business practices as well as the technical bugs in the work itself. I subsequently had to hire others to fix those messes, which is to date is still a continuing and ongoing concern.
