On May 2, 2014 I went into a TWC location to switch a internet box for a wifi box. When I ordered the service they installed the wrongnbox. When i went into the location to exchanfe the box, the rep did not have thw correct box AGAIN, so she had to go to 3 pther reps to get the correct box. Finally the 3rd person had the correct box and she processed my order and gave me the install directions. I went home and installed the box (I was a computer room manager for several home depot stores for almost 10 years)
The internet did not work properly. I called customer service and I gor a rep who was not knowledgeable of the issue and we were having difficulty communicatimg due to language barrier! After several hours of going back and forth with diferent reps the asked if they could do a remote look at my computer. I agreed and I saw them going through different screens on my computer. Finally the wifi began to work and the rep hung up. When i went to restart the computer, it was completely blank!! My opetating system was even gone. All my personal files that I had not backed up yet GONE!!!
I called TWC they gave me the run around for a month. Every rep telling me lies and had made appts to come check computer had me wait 3x and nobody came or even called. Finally I got a call from some rude woman who I believe was working from home because her name and local number kept coming up on my caller ID. She was unprofessional, somewhat ignorant (she was talking to me as if i were her friend!)
I had to repeatedly remind her to be professional ans dont take an attitude with me! All she cohi ld say was she was waiting to read transcripts. Then she made an appt for someone to come to my home and then 30 minutes later called back to cancel ! She told me she would call me in a few days to tell me the outcome! But instead, a few days later sent me a unprofessional, poorly typed letter stating they found no evidence of fault so thats it and there is nithing i can do other than buy myself a new computer!
I am so angry and annoyed because this was my daughters main activity and we had a lot of work on the computer because my daughter has Autism! I am a single mom of a disables child with health issues of my own and I feel so upset that this company would destroy my computer and then take no responsibility for it!
We as consumers habe to stop tolerating this poor service and appaulling behavior of these CSR who are not knowledgeable, jusf hanhing around for a check!!! Sorry for the poor typing butI suffer from severe RA ans typing is a true task!!! I will also be reporting this to the BBB!!
