I’m sorry I didn’t read reviews before I ordered, but add my voice in the chorus of people warning you to stay completely away from The Estore Online. First it was a call the day after I ordered to try to up-sell me $40 of stuff I didn’t need or want. Then it took 7 days to receive the order that I paid extra for 2-Day delivery and when I got the order they had substituted a cheap cloth diffuser for the flash specific plastic diffuser I ordered! I emailed them asking how they would handle replacing the wrong items and their response was “The diffuser was out of stock, they sent the better diffuser. If you are not satisfied please contact customer service at the number below.” They called to up-sell me but couldn’t contact me to tell me the diffuser was out of stock? When I talked with customer “service” the guy gave me the “better diffuser” pitch first and then said the only way I could return the diffuser was to return the entire order – what!? They advertise having the lowest prices on the web and indeed the flash was 20% below everyone else. When I got such resistance to returning the diffuser I realized they need to up-sell or substitute other high margin items to make their profit. I told him I would dispute the order on my credit card (more arguing) and in the end he told me to keep the cheap diffuser and he would credit that amount back to my card, which he did. I rarely write reviews, but these people don’t deserve your business. They lost my and hopefully your business forever all over $14 and a lousy business model.
I had a horrible experience with theestore. I ordered batteries which were not sent to me as promised and then - over the course of nine months - was promised that the correct ones would be sent and they never were.
I returned the batteries sent to me to them via CERTIFIED mail, but they also (initially) denied they received them!
A range of no less than twenty e-mail exchanges ensured with downright lies that what I had ordered had been sent or were being sent.
Oh - and did I forget to mention that I demanded a refund which they refused to process? I had to go through my credit card company as nobody from theestore would respond to my requests... (I was not surprised!)
I would NEVER do business with - or order anything from the theestore - ever again. They were absolutely horrible!
I am currently having the same experience with them. I ordered a name brand battery for my camera. They called the next day to say it was on backorder. Offered a cheap no name battery for less. That was in June. They called me back last week (end of july) and said it was still on backorder but they still had that cheap one available. I said I would wait for the real one as I had made the mistake of buying a cheap battery in the past and learned my lesson.
Unbelievably bad experience. Received a phone call from a sales rep a few hours after the order was placed (just like the other reviewer) who said that this charger (Nikon MH-23) is on a national backlog of 4-6 weeks, but that he had a ""comparable"" charger that would do the job in a shorter period of time. He was very pushy trying to sell me the third-party (non-Nikon) charger. Offered ""special pricing"" and ""my supervisor just authorized me to blah, blah, blah"" tactics.
When I said that I would have to get back to them (I never agreed to purchase the ""alternate"" charger), he kept at me trying to push this on me. I finally hung-up on him after I had said no twice. I called back the number on the website and it went to the same guy. He said he would transfer me to the ""cancel department"" and I was placed on hold for over 5 minutes. I hung up and called back, same guy again. I just said that I wanted to cancel the order and to please stop leaving me on hold. He finally ""transferred"" me to another person, who again tried to push the third-party charger at an even lower price. I was abrupt at this point and said I just wanted to cancel the order. He said that it was cancelled. I will provide an update if I end up getting charged.
This doesn't sound like a business at all, it sounds like a few people running a scam from their homes. Based on all of the poor feedback online, you would think that the state of Florida would do something about this ""business"".
Very poor experience, go with Amazon, or someone reputable or be prepared to be disappointed and frustrated.
