On July 1st, 2014 while at work I recieved multiple phone calls from 615 567 4250. Finally, I answered and a Mr. Dwayne McGuire with a very thick Middle Eastern accent from the Thomas Law Firm informed me that I had "stolen" 849.51 from American Cash, apparently a payday loan company and the police would be at my door in 24 hours to arrest me. (Of all the times, my birthday is tomorrow).
I obviously had no clue what he was talking about, he would not tell me the date I "stole" the money, the origional amount of the loan I "stole", nor would he send me the "contract" I had apparently signed as he stated it was "not his problem I did not get the emails from him", nor would he tell me the dates the emails were sent. He was unable to provide me with my email address, however he did have my social security number, and bank account information. He was very verbally abusive, calling me names and threatening me- "bad people like you deserve to be in jail", "you're going down" etc etc. He hung up on me, I then called back and the phone was answered with a "hello?"- not exactly a law office greeting and spoke with the cretian again to make sure I had the spelling of his "name" correctly.
I have since contacted Washington State Financial Institution, reported the fraud, the loan scam FTC, internet crime complaint as well as called my bank. I hope I covered all my bases.
