We were approached by a woman who said she was with AT&T and was there to upgrade our U-Verse account. I asked that she make an appointment and come back, when she came back, I asked for her ID and she showed me a badge with the So Cal Group on it, and an AT&T lanyard. I asked for her ID and she showed it to me and then gave me a phone number to call. After she left, I called the number and was told that she was a valid agent of AT&T. Something was very fishy because we never received any documentation from AT&T indicating they were going to send someone to upgrade us. I then contacted AT&T directely, and was told, that this company is NOT contracted with AT&T. I did some additional research and found that they had a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, regarding a misrepresented account, and that trying to get it resolved was a nightmare.
