After using Scotts Lawn Service for a few years their sales person left a note saying that They could make my yard looks better. Note said my yard looked bad and had bugs and other items they could fix.
After receiving their note of how bad my yard was I contacted Scotts Lawn Service. The answer of why their salesman left a note was my yard was the yard is cut to short. That is the only reason they had for my yard looking bad. Now the sales guy said it was for bugs.
Since they told me how bad my yard was under Scotts Lawn Service care I discontinued the service by calling and asking them to stop the service. There was no mention of me owing any money since my account was paid on auto pay.
Today I get a letter from a collection company that I owe them money, $88 to be exact. After opening the letter I call to find out how they were owed money. Rather than argue with them I was ready to pay to make the problem disappear. The collection letter clearly stated $88 was due. The lady on the phone tried to charge me another $15. So I asked for a supervisor, the first thing the supervisor asked me if I like to pay with a VISA or Mastercard and that the fee was $88. When I asked about the other $15 she said "oh, we do not report that to the collection agency so I will not charge it".
Moral of the story is SCOTTS LAWN SERVICE did a bad job on my yard, then their sales guy told me how bad my yard was. After they were fired they tried to charge me more money than they reported to a collection agency all while I was on auto pay.
note - I have hired another lawn service and my yard looks awesome now. Scotts awn Service did a really bad job and the tried to scam me out of money. BEWARE OF SCOTTS LAWN SERVICE
