The Sarlow Group provides photographs of house/properties for various mortgage companies and follow ups on foreclosed and non-foreclosed preservation companies and their units. The contactor simply goes to each house that is assigned, takes photographs then uploads this information on their website. The contractor is inspecting each unit for damage, break-in's, preservation, check to see if units are secure, broken windows and so forth. This company also provides insurance companies with photography for any weather/fire damage so the home owner is able to make a claim to their insurance companies. The contractor would make an appointment with the homeowner, photograph completed and non completed work and provide this information to Sarlow so they are able to further this information to the insurance companies. I have provided outstanding service for this company but yet they did not want to pay for my completed work. They still own me $222.00 for work that was completed about 1.5 years ago. They simply pocked the money (my pay) and never did report that income to the IRS. These people are highly shady. I have tried several times to speak with the CEO, Nate Lower however he was no where to be found. Probably hiding under his desk and/or running to the bank. Whichever the case, I would like my pay that is long over due plus interest of 1.5 years later. Do not work for these people they are out for themselves!
I have done thousands of jobs for Sarlow in 3 years and have had to fight to be paid on time as they had promised. They started me with 4 counties and asked me to pick up 2 more then just recently asked me to do 2 more. In the past 6 months to a year they have been 5,or 7weeks late and now not paying at all. They owe me over 600.00. I have had their lies, holding jobs till late so they don't have to pay and not responding to calls or texts, or emails about pay. They have changed pay dates several times when they have been late as an explanation. THEY ARE CROOKED, LIARS AND CHEATERS.
I have performed inspections for SarLow for nearly two years. I have completed and been paid for several thousand jobs. The only jobs that were unpaid were jobs that I submitted late. When a job can't be completed on time, I have the option of asking for an extension of the due date as long as the request is made BEFORE the job becomes late. Doing property inspections requires a LOT of driving, completing jobs on or before the due date, and providing ALL the information and pictures required by the client in an accurate and timely manner. If you can't work within these guidelines, you will NOT be successful at property inspecting.
I have found SarLow to be professional, supportive and fair. I appreciate the work they send to me and I have been paid for every single job that was submitted correctly and on time.
If I can save one person from accepting a contract position with Sarlow Group, then my job is done. First of all, do not put your car through the abuse that's expected for property inspecting. They will have you covering more territory than what is first agreed upon. Because of the turnover, they never have anyone available to do, but YOU. If you forget a photo, you are expected to backtrack and get it, or you will not receive pay for that inspection. And if that happens, you have basically done that inspection for free! It's just not worth the headache to work for the Sarlow Group.
