Oh my! I don't really know where to start. Doing business w/this company & its owner, Rey, was a disaster. I placed a $2800 order for 300 tees with Print Shack on 4/10/14. An invoice that specified shirt styles & style #s was provided by Rey. On this day, Rey stated that order would take 2 weeks. 2 weeks later, no shirts; not even partial quantities were ready. On Monday, 4/28, I contacted Rey & asked if ANY shirts were ready for pick-up & he said "not yet this week though; follow up with me Wed". Because he previously informed me that he ordered 100 blk tees for one of the designs (instead of the 50 blue & 50 blk that I requested), I asked him to explain the delay with the other styles.
His reply was a bunch of gibberish about how some jobs are harder than others & take longer because even though it's a shirt it's still an art form.
He goes on to say "to produce great art sometimes it takes a lil longer & worth waiting for. On top of it though"! Needless to say, when Wed, April 30 came & I called Rey, yet again, more excuses. This time he wasn't done because the printing guy quit & that put him behind. He proceeded to tell me that he was the "master printer" & he was on it. On this day, told him I would pick the entire order up on Monday, May 5.
When Mon. got here, he emailed to say some shirts would be ready mid-week & the rest on Fri, May 9. I informed him that I would get all shirts on Fri since I live 1hr away from Print Shack. Arrived at the shop on May 9 & only 1 of the 3 style tees were ready. More excuses were all that owner, Rey, had to offer me. After inquiring as to when the rest of the shirts would be ready, Rey said next Friday, May 16. Remember....this tee shirt job was only supposed to take 2 weeks to process! Also, on this day I witnessed him yell at another unhappy customer. I interjected because as a customer I actually felt bad for the customer he was shouting at.
May 16, 2014 arrives & I receive a text from Rey at 10:05am stating "we're going to need to work over the weekend & I'm still waiting on a few shirts to come in". I'm totally flabbergasted! He continues in the next couple of texts to say that he's having trouble keeping good help and that he hired a new print guy, but the new guy has some personal issues going on right now. I explain to him via text how unprofessional it is to wait until pick-up day to text me about the order not being ready AGAIN. All in all, it's been a series of excuses & playing the blame game with this guy. He orders the wrong product for your particular order, prints on it & then expects you to pay for it.
He'll offer you free merchandise and/or an order discount for the heartaches, but you won't receive either. I was actually offered both a discount & a few freebies via text & on one of the visits.......GOT NEITHER! My order was finally received on Friday, May 23. However, after arriving at 3:15pm, I had to sit & sit & sit & sit some more while the remainder of the order was trying to get to the finish line. Around 10:45pm, the shirts were finally done. BE SURE TO CHECK/COUNT EVERY ITEM. Some of the items will be missing. Some work is substandard & Print Shack will knowingly try to include the item(s) with your order.
Although order was ready around 10:45p, I didn't leave the shop until close to 11:30pm because Rey tried to get over on the final invoice: adding extra fees for artwork/screens, increasing per item prices & adding in items he printed that I didn't ask for. The only reason why I am giving this business at least 1 star is because of Mike, he creates the designs. His designs for this order were done long before the actual shirts. He's a cool guy as well as the new print guy "L". Asides from the dealings with these two guys, this was a truly horrible business experience.
