The Pony Box promised an amazing gift box that boasted a collection of items horse owners need for the care of their horses. This was supposed to include sport boots, polo wraps, equestrian themed jewelry and items you would attach to your saddle, products used in caring for your horse and treats.
The company provided a deadline to order so that the gift box would arrive by Christmas. We, along with others who ordered even a month before... placed our order and pre-paid for the purchase before the deadline for Christmas delivery.
The box arrived incomplete. We were told that the sport boots were not delivered to them as promised by the supplier. Later we found out that the supplier was another company owned by the person who started The Pony Box!!! The box also arrived late, after Christmas. Something which he were never informed of by The Pony Box.
After significant complaints, the owner Megan Bradform accused the shipping company of being the issue. Her shipping company is the same company I use for my own business and I was able to find that her shipping date she was claiming was a lie. She didn't ship until 2 days after the date she was claiming.
We were supposed to get the missing sport boots in January after the owner Megan Bradford claimed they "finally arrived" (from her own company). It is Febuary 8th and we have still not received our Sport Boots.
The polo wraps that we received from The Pony Box (that were supplied by the owner Megan Bradford's other company Mae Equestrian) could not be used because of the amount of seams sewn into the polo wraps would put pressure on a Horse's tendon's and cause significant issues when used.
We have been promised another Pony Box with all of the items promised. That was on January 4th. It is now Febuary 8th and we have still not received the missing sport boots, replacement polo wraps or the new Pony Box promised by owner Megan Bradford.
This issue is so rampant that the Lubbock Texas Better Business Bureau has been interviewed by the local news stations concerning the complaints of fraud by customers across the country!
On Nov. 11, 2014, I placed an order for a December Subscription box "tailored to your needs" as a Christmas gift for our granddaughter. She filled out the questionnaire describing her likes or dislikes for certain horse-connected products--to help PonyBox decide what to send.
It was suppose to be sent out Dec. 15--to arrive before Christmas.
I ordered the most expensive box for $80--according to them, suppose to have a value of at least $90--including (in their words) such items as bridles, saddle pads, tack sets, etc.
The package arrived Dec. 26. After opening it, our granddaughter found an small, open box of horse treats scattered over the bottom, a cheap-looking set of polo wraps, 3 small iron-on horse patches and a small bottle of mane and tail lotion--ALL of which might be valued for $15 at the most!
Needless to say, our granddaughter was very disappointed-as we were!
I tried to call the company with the phone number listed on my Mastercard receipt several times with an answering machine my ony response.
I sent a letter to what I thought was their email address, but was unable to get a response back. Unfortunately, I think there are several other sites online with the PonyBox like name and this "company" that I ordered from is not the legitimate one and is "using the name of honest companies.
I warn anyone who plans on ordering from the PonyBox monthly subsription box--to NOT do it; otherwise you will be out the cost of the box plus the shipping charge. I paid $87 for some very low-quality products, shipped very late!
While perusing facebook, I came across a monthly subscription box, The Pony Box, for horse enthusiasts. While the company was relatively new, it did have a strong following and was highly recommended.
On November 6, 2014, I placed an order via their website (www.theponybox.us) for their mid-level box "The Pony Box". The cost of the box, plus shipping, came to $56.50. I fully understood, as explained on their website, that the box wouldn't ship until December 15, 2014 as you paid one month in advance.
On December 19, 2014, I recieved an email stating that the December shipment would be delayed since one of the items that was supposed to be included in the December box had yet to arrive from their supplier. However, this notification was FOUR days past the their shipping date of December 15th.
On December 23, 2014, I received an email stating that my package had shipped and would arrive in time for Christmas.
It was shipped via USPS with a tracking number. While tracking the shipment, all scans for my package came to a halt once it arrived at the Greensboro, NC sorting facility on December 25, 2014. I contacted my local postmaster to see if they could help, and they could not be of assistance because they had no way of physically looking for the package. Upon checking the tracking number again, it stated that the package had been returned to sender in Lubbock, TX on December 30, 2014 at 11:48am.
Multiple emails to the company have gone unanswered, and messaging has been disabled on their facebook page. I've repeatedly asked for a refund for the January "Ultimate" Box that I had also paid for on December 5, 2014 for a total of $85.20, and finally received a reply on December 29, 2014 stating "We will put you on the list".
After reading hundreds of posts on their Facebook page, it's clearly evident that I'm not alone in this. Hundreds of people have complained that they've paid for the boxEd and either have to receive the actual boxes, a refund, or even a response to their constant emails.
This company, is using facebook to sell high priced subscription boxes, and not actaully shipping them.. any one that has actually recieved a box, explains they are junk they pick up, will not provide any informationif you will get a box... a huge amount of people are complaining on the facebook account and not recieveing help to resolve the problems..
