This has been the doctor’s office from Hell. I have never been to an office in which the doctor offers to have patients pay cash instead of using insurance for discounts and then screws them over when they use the insurance they pay for. In 2013, I went to this office to have an exam and order shoe supports. I was told the cost was $300 if I used insurance and $250 if I paid cash. This included the exam, the device, and two follow-up visits. During this visit, the doctor tried to sell me a device for each pair of shoes I had. I told him, I wanted a small interchangeable device like the one I had. He sold me on the idea of using a full shoe size one. This worked ok until I had to dispose of that pair of shoes. I went back to him thinking that I could use my free visit I still had remaining and have a smaller pair of devices ordered which I originally requested. The doctor ended up charging me for two office visits, one for me to come in and tell him I needed a reorder and second for picking them up each at $40, then is attempting to charge me another $300 for the new devices. This doctor and this office are a scam. Stay away. When I tried to resolve the issue saying I would only pay for the new devices, the doctor and his staff were hostile, kept quoting me insurance billing allowable policy, and would to listen to what I had to say. Worst office staff ever experienced!
