I made the mistake of contracting with Fleisher Realty, "realtor" Joel Carpenter, in order to sell my residence. Mr. Carpenter lied to me 1) when he said I would only be required to sign a THREE MONTHS contract - it ended up being SIX MONTHS (yes, I should have known better); 2) he said my floors were cheap imitation wood, even though I showed him the receipt from the company that laid the floors and they concurred with me; 3) he "neglected" to tell me the party under contract had emailed him to cancel the offer; 4) he tried to coerce me to sign a document stating I would return the contractee's good faith money, regardless; 5) he took photos of the interior of the house showing it in it's WORSE condition - and put them online - in spite of my complaints; 6) he argued with me concerning the sale price I thought my home was worth; 7) he tried to get the buyer's loan company to deduct monies they determined should be included in my full payment after paying off the loan for the house. Mr. Carpenter's supervisor in Glenwood Springs (or Aspen - not sure) supported Mr. Carpenter's actions. I threatened to fire the company (which I could well have done due to their ineptness) which is the only reason the sale finally went through. There were a lot of other incidents I won't go into. I believe I have stated enough situations to have made my point. BEWARE WHEN SELECTING A REALTOR!!!
