I though this would be cool, a simple dent repair business, that i could get a full repair shop going some day. I financed the $ 1000 bucks needed to get going form todd, the sales guy. I followed the "over the shoulder" training they gave me, since i am local, newport beach is just a short drive away. Todd told me they have lots of guys that start out with him, then get a real shop started later. He said they have about 800-900 other franchises going now. What i think me meant is he has ripped off 800-900 other guys. Hey todd, give me my money back.

Yeah right i couldn't get him to even answer my e-mails. I thought i was gonna make a little extra money but instead i ended up losing $2000. Some people don't think that's a lot but i don't make much to begin with and i had to borrow the money i started the company with. So now i have to repay this loan and nothing to show for it.

This is not what he sales guy told me to expect, I called the franchise office, 800-304-3464, Alan, he told me,,,no overhead,nothing to buy or stock, a few simple tools. ($3500) and weekends you'll be rich. right, what was I thinking, believing a guy I just met,,,on the phone. They haven't even sent me the simple tools, It has been 6 long weels. I have called, ext 4 technical, ext 5 accounting, and told them i am going to tell my credit card co to not pay them, I wnat answeres.

I took the dent-removal-for-dummies class in southern CA 4 months ago with James the tools and training they gave me were useless! I could have taught myself and bought my own tools for $100 instead of the $1000 he ripped me off for! And I notice I'm not the only one who he's ripped off here, we should all get together with a lawyer to see if we can file a class action suit against the whole franchise. This is a WARNING to all those who are considering taking Paintless dent removal training with the Dingking.
I filed a complaint and asked for our money back but was refused. We WILL be seeking further damages and getting our money back.
1) MY partner and I recently took their "PDR 40" course and were promised 8 hours of training a day.
WE got 5-6 hours ONLY. 25-30 hours for the whole WEEK!!!
2) The price we paid seemed very fair and was cheaper than most other schools-we paid $5000 for both of us total, including tools, airfare, hotel lodging, and training. I spoke with others there and they paid $7500 EACH! and some even more, so I felt like we got a good deal, until a realized we were all training together in a huge group and no one was getting attention.
3) The trainer frequently left us all alone and no one even watched us work.
4) The tools we were promised were supposed to be a large set- we got 29 pieces, most of which looked like coat hangers which couldn't remove a dent and bent!
5) We worked on one car which seemed like a joke at the end of the week, and had no idea what to do. I admit one week is a short time, but Todd PROMISED us we could do dents by the end of the week which NO ONE there could and he tried to upsell us on EVERYTHING:
Said we needed to upgrade our tools, we needed to upgrade our training to two weeks, we needed to uprgrade to get glue pullers and on and on.
ITs nothing more than a HUGE bait and switch!!!
6) We were told we would be training on actual cars and learning bodylines, creases and glue pulling which we never were taught.
Our trainer spent almost the whole week showing us how to do soft dents which are nothing like you see on car lots.

The point here is Todd is creating confusion for some reason with all the business names (confusion). His business plan is simple; Teach nothing and lock you into a contract, take your money then your on your own with no knowledge of what you went to his school for. Todd (TJ) also has an Instructor LEE ROTH who owns Dent Away in Arlington Texas. This Instructor will teach you Nothing and helps TODD (TJ) take your $5000.00 for the PDR class you wen't there for.
My first misteak was not properly reasearching Todd Sudeck and his multiple business names he is licensed under. I am certain once he receives to many negative reviews he adds an additional business name, why not? its easy for TODD SUDECK (TJ) after all he has so many business names he works under. This is why TODD does not use GOOGLE places for Business. If he were to use GOOGLE Business places any consumer could complete a GOOGLE review on his business. Ask your self, Why is there no Google Reviews available for any of his business????? Because TODD SUDECK IS SKULLDUGGEROUS!!!
Anyway, I went to the Arlington Texas school where LEE ROTH was the instructor. I would like to say he is a nice guy, but he is in it for himself. He really didn't teach me anything in the 5 days I was there. The Facility is not a school, It is a dump!!!!! No class room. There is no lesson plan, no structure at all. The one week I was there I didn't learn to fix one dent properly. LEE ROTH is terribly in poor health and can't work more than 20 minuets without a break. His other two employees interupt all day long, you actually work 3 hours within an 8 hour day, you will learn nothing. When you arrive at the school LEE ROTH will have you sign Legal Documents real fast. The FORMS basically give TODD SUDECK a legal leg to stand on, and keep your hard earned money.
During my class i reviewed the PDR Training Curriculum
there was never any of the five days where we followed more than 20% of the classroom course material. One thing I did learn is that TOOD SUDECK will talk negative about the students (thats real professional) LEE ROTH will take so many smoke breaks you will loose count. And I learned how to Talk all day long at work. If you really want to learn how to do PDR correctly, Don't count of these guys. TODD SUDECK will only take your money and teach you very little as an attempt to get you to come back and pay more money for follow up classes.
I am writting this to make other people aware of the scam here. I used $5000.00 of my families money and we didn't have it to begin with. This was an attempt to teach me a vocation to provide for my family and once again in our world it turned out to be a RIP OFF. Another example of the BIG MAN ripping off someone who is down and trying to get back on there feet to provide for their family. TODD SUDECK sells one heck of a VERBAL product, he makes you feel real good. In reality, you get nothing in return!

Signed up for the training and tools a few years back. Paid over 2,700.00 for the tools and deposit on the training. Decided it wasn't something i wanted to go through with as a business. Now, all i get is promises that my deposit will be dealt with and no one ever calls you back. The guy that dealt with my deposit quit a week later. I think they are rip off artists and charlatans. In a third world country, they would be stoned. Thanks for this great site to report crap businesses like these. Next stop for me is the BBB and I hope others will voice their opinions. Definitely is no money back guarantee in this business.

I spoke with Todd, the sales guy, from the Newport Beach facility, he assured me I would make back my borrowed money in 6 months or less. He told me @ the continuous support on the 800 tech support line. Also about the newsletters & yearly conferences are part of the package. I also boutght the $300 Video & manual training, more wasted money. I called Todd and told him the problems I was having and said I wanted my money back, he said no. We were promised one on one training and got 5 people in our class. The instructor didn't once demonstrate any techniques and we were pissed because they were so clueless. They said he had over twenty years experience but didn't even do dents to show us how to get it down. The other 3 students with us also left the course upset and many were asking for their money back.
I took two weeks off work for this and my company paid us to come learn dent repair, and we have been denied a refund but are still going to pursue it.
I realize Paintless Dent Repair is hard to do- but we were told we would get it and could get free instruction yet they wanted us to pay more for hotel and other fees and in the end they squeezed us hard without even providing the quality instruction we traveled down to California for. I learned more on youtube than I did with DINGKING!!
