Not receiving an increase statement from your company. It was a slap in the face this am, calling customer service only to find out my subscription went from $26.00 to $34.00 an increase of 30.77%. As before in 2012 not receiving an increase statement, your company delivery service went from $19.75 to $26.00 an increase of 31.65%. What I am wondering is where you expect people to absorb such increases? But I guess your company is no worse than any other, food prices have done nothing but rise over the winter, now gas prices this spring. But there is something I can do about your increase. Talking to your rep. this am he suggested an online subscription, we don’t wanted to go online to read a newspaper, you can say old fashion, but that’s the way it’s been done all my life, hold it in my hand an read it, that is why it’s called a news “Paper”. He wanted to lower my rate and sign us up for EZ pay. You can say my information is encrypted, but I am not about to turn my credit card information to someone, taking the chance that it is used other than what it intended for. People get burnt everyday doing just that. My wife and I live on a fixed income, social security increase last year was 1%. So how am I to absorb your increases? Even when I was employed an increase over 3% was unheard of.You can set behind your desk and adjust your prices to what you think the market will bear, but you have priced yourself out of a customer. If you have an answer to any of my concerns, I would appreciate your response. I don’t think anyone will read about my opinion in your newspaper.
